Warning Light On Problems of Plymouth Grand Voyager

The contact owns a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis where it was stated that the clock spring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 190,000.

I recently purchased a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Immediately I noticed the airbag warning light going on and off while driving, and after searching your site, I've discovered that quite a lot of people are having the same problem. As this issue is still not a manufacturer recall yet for this year model, how do I remedy this problem?.

When driving the vehicle at any speed air bag warning light appeared on the dashboard. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the clock spring needed to be replaced.

"airbag" warning light stays on while driving and horn does not work. Mechanic says the airbag clockspring needs to be replaced. Same symptoms as NHTSA action number ea01-007.

Air bag warning light stays on. Technician advised that clock spring in steering column was bad and needed replaced. Since this is a safety item I asked if they did the replacement, and was advised that it was my responsibility to have it repaired at my expense. Technician also advised that they have had a problem with this item on this year model.

When van was hit by another vehicle, on the passenger's side at a high rate of speed, there was no deployment of the passenger's front air bag. Also, horn does not work, remote entry on driver's side door does not work, air bag warning light stays on, fuel gauges does not work, a/c heater blink on and off,inside dome light blinks on and off, steering column freezes, cruise control works on and off.
