We have reported problems with the brakes since we bought the car. It is more noticable after it rains. Whenever you press the brake pedal, they squeal loudly. When we heard about the recall on the news and read it in the paper last month, we immediately called the dealer for repairs. They said they had heard nothing about such a recall and it was probably a rumour. We finally received a notice from daimlerchrysler last Thursday about the recall. We again contacted the dealer and they said they have stlil heard nothing about it and don't even know if they have the parts in stock. This is a serious issue and should have been resolved a long time ago. We are concerned about getting into an accident and this is our only vehicle.

It is common consumer knowledge that there is a problem with head gaskets and brakes on the 95-99 Dodge/Plymouth Neons. There should be a recall. I am very displeased with my Chrysler vehicle.

I was told there is a national back order on this part indicating a problem with it. Mine has collasped and while not creating a safety problem at this point could later on if I can't get a part to replace it. No safety defect mentioned .
When applying brakes front end vibrates, and tires have started to wear. Dealer has inspected vehicle. Please provide further details.
While driving, front disc brakes will not release all the way causing them to wear easily because of constant driving with them engaged, all brakes failed leaving consumer without brakes at all.
