Trunk Lid Problems of Plymouth Neon

The vehicle would not start,. Opened the hood, looked like an electrical short, the wiring on the end glowed red right above the battery. Previously, there was an air conditioning problem, and the check engine light came on. They said it was a sensor. Also a trunk latch.

My car leaks water. My trunk leaks and the rear floor leaks on both sides. What is causing this it has done this since I have had the car but it has gotten worse. I have also replaced the engine at 36000 miles.
