Each time the mechanics have looked futher and further into the problem and have now discovered it is the steeriing knuckle that locks the caliper and brake pad into the knuckle. It brake pad grinds into the knuckle causing pits into the medal of the knuckle and brake pads worn out every 10,000 miles. These are warranty covered parts that will be replaced by the warranty company if they are give a reason for this defect and defect is caused by a covered part. The dealer cannot explain what is causing the problem. Chrysler corporation has been informed and they will not get involved because the car was not fixed at the Chrysler dealer every time. The warranty company advised me that this could be a design flaw with my particular vechicle and that Chrysler should get out ther to look at the vehicle.

Noise emanating from the rear drums during stopping at times, inspected the brake system. Pads/shoes were worn out prematurely specifically the rear drum pad which were worn to the rivets at 35k. Because the rear brakes worn fast, the front rotors took over the majority of braking and subsequently warped the rotors. Since replacement, the noise has not occured again. Also windshield wipers began operating by themselves when driving. They would come on and wipe the windshield 1-3 times without ever touching the control switch. Control switch replaced and problem went away, started again sporadically.
