When brakes are applied there is a delay before the vehicle will stop. Vehicle was taken to the dealer, mechanic determined that consumer needed to drive the vehicle more often. Also, rotors and pads were rusted.
During a routine inspection consumer noticed rotors were rusting from the inside. As rotor rusted the brakes started to fail.

Dealer service department stated this is normal wear cleveland area due to salt. Rotor warpage, extreme vibration and sway bar bushings failure at such low mileage represents dangerous design flaw which is impractical to compensate for with constant replacing of poorly designed and manufactured parts. This is in a vehicle which is typically used to transport families and children. While driving consumer heard a loud noise coming from the front. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the rotors needed to be replaced, and replaced them six times. However, the problem recurred.
Rotors needed to be replaced, they rusted from inside. Dealer has advised consumer to replace rotors. Please add additional informstion.
Consumer took car into dealer for a squeak. Mechanic noticed that the rotors were heat struck and pitted. They were not able to fix the rotors, they had to replace them. Rotors on jeeps from 96-99 had been recalled, possible that these Chrysler rotors might be defective also.

Dealer stated that rotors were rusty and pitted. Yet the brake pads were only 25% worn out.
While vehicle was being driven air bags deployed without a collision occurring, cause unknown. Also, in rainy weather conditions water enters vehicle from dash area, causing electrical shortage. The windshield wiper had no gasket along botton. Tire tread separated while traveling. Four sets of brake pads and two sets of rotors faile in two years period.
Both front rotors are defective due to rust and corrosion at 20,000 mile of wear. Defective parts are available for inspection if needed. Dealer/ manufacturer notified.
Disc brake rotors failed prematurely.
Brakes when applied,grind against the rotors, but do not stop the vehicle. Dealer has been contacted.
Brakes fade when applied, also loud noise experienced. Rotors and drums have been replaced.
Excessive wear of front brake rotors; consumer noticed that rotors have been replaced every 15 thousand miles . Please provide any further details.
The inside of each front brake rotor was pitted. The rotors were original equipment for the car and were replaced with after market rotors.
