Vehicle in reverse gear with foot on the brake when it suddenly accelerated backwards. Vehicle was stopped by two chain link fences. Dealer was notified and couldn't find cause.
While driving would step on brake pedal, but vehicle will not stop on time.
When applying brakes in a sudden/emergency stop vehicle experienced extended stopping distance. Vehicle had been to dealer on three occasions, and they were unable to duplicate the problem.
When pressing on the brakes van would jerk back and forth. Also, back door latch is getting hard to open.

The abs braking system malfunctioned,causing vehicle to have no stopping ability, and resulting in an accident. Also there is a noise when the abs system is activated. Cause unknown. Dealer cannot determine problem.
In icy conditions with temperatures approximately 10 degrees f, brakes did not activate without excessive pedal pressure apparently due to failure of power assist. This happened twice within 24 hours during a trip to flint, mi. Upon returning to virginia, the vehicle was taken to greenbrier Chrysler-Plymouth, who inspected and advised that they were unable to duplicate the failure.

Recall # 99v216000 daimlerchrysler /fuel pump; van has been serviced under recall campaign twice. The van was serviced first right after memorial day, and serviced again about 4 or 5 days later. Fuel continues to leak from the van. Also has problems with abs and electrical system.
We purchased the van with less than 50,000 miles on it, and I know that Chrysler had a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty at one time.
