3 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 1998 Plymouth Voyager

Failure Date: 04/22/2005

98 Voyager expresso 3. 3 engine. Doors lock at random, when put in gear, when put in park, while keys in car, with car running, the 15mph is totally irrelevent in this van. It also over heats even in winter, and all the lights blink on the instrument cluster as well as the housing for ac, defrost, rear wiper, etc. Have had to local dealer who claims there are no recalls at all on this van. I have just printed off 3 pages of safety issues, and the ones I have listed are very important. This has been going on in excess of 4 years, and it isnt getting any better.

4 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 1996 Plymouth Voyager

Failure Date: 08/15/2003

I'm having a problem right now concerning the van's ignition or fuel component. Since June, 2003 the engine will all of the suddent die or the compression goes down to a minimum that will allow the engine to only run; this has happened four times. Then when I let the engine cool down for awhile, I can start it up and it will run ok for a while. Mechanics are telling me that they can't tell what the problem is until the problem shows itself; also they say it could be some kind of ignition module of some sort. On two of the occasions, I was on a major freeway with my three kids in tow and we were stranded in the car pool lane. If you have any ideas of what the problem could be please let me know. Also, my windshield wipers go on at any time on their own and my paint peels in the back top of the van adjacent to the back hatch.

5 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2000 Plymouth Voyager

Failure Date: 07/15/2003

We purchased the vehicle because it only had 21,486 at three years old and they called it certified. When the air conditioning went out they refused to even reimburse us part of it because we did not have the extended warranty. We have the powertrain a this point until 70,000 miles. We have had engine knocking, which our mechanic added an additive to and seemed to go away but now at the end of August seems to be returning. The tires were terrible at what seemed to us to be low mileage. We had sensors that went and caused the transmission to downwshift so our mechanic repaired. We have submitted that one bill to Chrysler because it turns out it was a powertrain issue on that. We have not received reimbursement yet. When the brakes went metal to metal totally without warning on August 23 we began to wonder if our odometer had been turned back before we bought it but are now thinking it is just a very cheap, shoddy vechicle and we are so sorry we have bought it and wasted this much money on it. We went back to the dealer, suncoast Chrysler Plymouth when the air went out and they refused to do anything. We went back again to the general manager at the end of August trying to find a way to get out of this and get our money back or at the very least help with the extremely expensive brake repair and they said there is nothing they can do. The engine does not sound good now so we are expecting anything to happen next.
