Plymouth Voyager owners have reported 1 problem related to oil pump (under the engine and engine cooling category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Plymouth Voyager based on all problems reported for the Voyager.
The engine (long block) had to be replaced because of the oil pump failure causing damage to the heads. We were told that the engine looked like it had never been serviced (neglected). We have documentation of services at the dealerships. In July 1999, engine overheated and the fan relay was subsequently recalled. In oct, 1999, we had problems with an oil leak. The dealership checked it and said it looked like the oil had never been changed in 5 years. The oil was thick like tar. They cleaned out the whole system with detergents and chemicals. The vehicel overheated again a week after the new engine was put in. The fan engines had shorted and the fan relay damaged too. It just seems like we have had to replace the engine, after 5 years, because of overheating problems that damaged it.
