After 72 hours of my purchase of the 2010 Subaru Impreza wrx from Toyota boulder dealership located in boulder, colorado, I had experienced malfunctions with the starter of the vehicle. I had absolutely no fault in this situation, however I was simply misinformed and therefore purchased a vehicle that wasnt in adequate, safe conditions. On Tuesday I had experienced a lack of power when starting up the vehicle . I had no problems with the vehicle in the morning however around noon I had driven 10 miles from my work and had down shifted to 1 gear from 2nd and the vehicle stalled. The following day I had then tried to fire up the vehicle but it would not start. The electrical system was on par, the battery was at 86% of life which narrowed it down to either the starter or alternator. However by the looks and my knowledge of these types of vehicles I believe the root of the malfunction lies within the starter. The car was stationary the second time I had tried to start the vehicle.

Tl the contact owns a 2013 Subaru Impreza. While driving approximately 60-65 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle; however, there was no forward momentum. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed, but a fault code was unable to be retrieved. Previously, the vehicle was repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 18v772000 (engine and engine cooling). Gurley leep Subaru (5302 grape rd, suite #2, mishawaka, in 46545, (574) 258-7700) was contacted by phone and an appointment was scheduled to have the vehicle diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

Also, the check engine and traction control indicators illuminated. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that there were no recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.

I received a December 2018 recall notice for recall wty-84, NHTSA id 18v-772. When I called my dealer, northtown Subaru, amherst NY, they told me to call back in late February because they did not have parts yet. Now when I called (3/4/2019) they say they do not have the tools for the repair. They said try again in April. The recall notice said the recall service should be performed "immediately". It sounds like they are stalling so they do not have to make the repairs. I expect when I call in April they will have some other excuse. Please let me know if other Subaru dealers are making the repairs and if any are near the 14221 zip code. What can a car owner do if the dealers refuse to make recall repairs?.

Subaru recall from October 2018. The car is starting to stall while driving. Subaru is now telling me that I have to wait until late may to have my car repaired. This is unsafe and is my only vehicle for work. During driving on the expressway between 30 and 60mph or on city streets between 20-30pmh, the car just slows way down by itself and the hill start/assist warning light keeps coming on and periodically the vehicle dynamics control light also comes on. These issues have been ongoing and periodic but more and more frequent since December 2018.

The car has stalled 3 times while driving. At a stop sign, red light and at a stop sign. The incident at the traffic light caused the vehicle to start rolling backwards and almost hit into another vehicle. Subaru can not find the problem but acknowledges the incidents of stalling. The car is not safe to drive and was purchased in the later half of April 2018.

I was about to make a left turn at the light when car suddenly stalled. Brought it to liberty Subaru dealership the next day and tech release it as safe to drive after they claimed to fix the main relay. A minute after I left the dealership car stalled again near the train tracks. The 2017 Subaru Impreza is hazardous, unsafe, and life threatening. This time liberty Subaru said they have to rewire the engine. I am not comfortable driving this car with my children. It is not safe for me, my family, and other drivers.

My car stalled 3x yesterday, 1/21/2017 while driving. I was at a traffic light about to make a left turn when the car suddenly stalled.

Driving on a city street when car suddenly stalled. Had to have car towed to the dealer and after opening the engine the final diagnose was that the valve spring failed.

The contact owns a 2006 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle stalled with the illumination of the engine and brake warning lights. The vehicle was able to be restarted; however, the contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed that the ignition coil needed to be replaced. The ignition coil was replaced twice because the failure recurred after the first replacement. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

Before the failure white smoke came out the tailpipe and the engine was hesitating. Piston #4 had a failed ringland causing the engine to fail. To correct the failure the engine had to be taken apart at the dealer and have new parts installed. The car was out of my possession for two weeks. The car had only ~8000 miles on it and it appears to be a very common problem on 2008-2010+ Subaru Impreza sti's.

I was driving down a main road in boston when my engine caught on fire. As a result I ended up crashing into a snow bank. When I reported this to the dealership they said that they would look at the problem and fix it. When the car was inspected it was found to have aftermarket parts that are not d. O. T. Legal and no c. A. R. B. Id's. All of these modifications were installed prior of me buying this vehicle and it was sold to me with a warrenty. I had complained about a smell of gas and a huge loss of oil before this happened but was told that is how a Subaru Impreza wrx sti runs. Also the dealership got a emmisions sticker for this car when it will not pass emissions with all of the afterarket parts. Nothing has been done to fix this problem and the dealership refuses to take any responsibility for this event.

Karen quinn of Subaru of America assured me that I can drive my 2003 Subaru Impreza with "check engine" light on for a period of two weeks without any concern. As a result, the vehicle stalled the "check engine" light was blinking and I was in danger. At a later time she falsified the records and had no recollection of such conversation.
