I have been having trouble with my radio hanging up phone calls and several other things. After taking my car several time I was told it will be replaced. I took my car and left it over night March 18th and March 19th. It had a charging light on so they said it's best if it says over night. When contacted the satellite radio company to give the new radio id, the said it was the id. I called apple to see if there were any issues with my iphone, there was none and we even went through resetting the phone, just in case case the radio was still dropping calls and other things. I have a case with Toyota customer service #2103032049. I contacted them and the dealership the Monday afterwards March 22, I still was unable to get any answers. I have no proof the radio was replaced, no one from Toyota or the dealership, which is mike calvert Toyota 713-558-8100.

The lane departure beeping signal is so weak that I can hardly hear it. Normal driving noise such as tire noise, radio, conversation, etc. Usually completely drives it out. On the Buick that I traded in the lda sound was normal and on a number of occasions I dozed off and was snapped out of it by the beeping from the lda. I am dismayed that this very important safety feature is all but useless in my new Toyota. A friend just bought a new prius and his vehicle has the same weak lda volume as mine. I looked on the internet and saw complaints about the same problem. This is apparently a problem on all late model Toyotas. I had this problem on interstate, other highways and city driving.
Car was parked in the garage. I noticed that the eyeglass compartment that is located inside the car between the two front visors was hanging down and covering the inside rear view mirror. I tried to close it shut by pushing it up into place, but it kept falling down. I put on masking tape to keep it closed, since I did not want to drive without the use of my inside rear view mirror. That same day, I had an appointment to get new tires at an auto repair place. I drove directly there and asked the auto mechanic to remove the compartment cover entirely. He removed the cover, it was held in place with two little screws, and he also found in the car a tiny piece of aluminum, in a v shape, that must have been part of the compartment locking mechanism. I have had this car for 14 years and never have put anything in that compartment. I may have opened it once to see how it worked when I first got the car. I am glad that this did not happen while I was driving in traffic, and that this cover is now completely gone from the car. This car does have very low milage.

Drove vehicle to work in am. Noticed key didn't "catch" first time, thought it was human error and wrote it off and drove to work. Went to leave work and turned key in ignition, lights and radio light up but key freely turned like butter and steering felt tighter than normal. Could not start vehicle. Had mechanic remove ignition assembly on site to determine that the linkage in between the lock cylinder and ignition switch had a broken metal piece stuck off into the switch. This linkage is contained in a metal housing unit with 3 holes. Went to Toyota dealer and asked for the linkage part, was shown the housing unit it was contained in, only available from Toyota. Was told by employee that the piece he was showing me came off a car like mine they had just repaired because of a recall on the steering lock bar, this piece is connected to the piece that I need to replace. I feel my issue occurred between driving and parking at my work and it is because of the recall on this piece. Car is now at Toyota dealership, so far they have picked up the towing bill but given me grief that I have a "13 year old car" regardless of the car's age I feel that if that piece I need came off a repaired car due to recall, they need to cover the bill for this repair.

I bought a new Toyota Avalon. After about a month I noticed the headliner falling off by the sun roof. Toyota replaced the headliner. The new headliner did the same thing after a few weeks. Brought the car back to Toyota and the put double sided tape on top of the double sided tape which is put on to hold the headliner up. The headline came down again. Toyota want to replace the headliner again. I asked if there had been any changes in the headliner and they said no. This is a common problem that had been happening with the 2013-2014 Avalons.

Transmission lags then jumps forward, transmission slips at low speeds never seems to find a gear. Steering at speeds below 40 will jerk left or right depending on the road. (scares you to death) brakes have grabbed and jerked the car from day one the dealership ground the rotors to fix this but it has not resolved the problem. The car has had the power steering hose replaced because it leaked and it still does. The cd player skip while your parked, the steering wheel needed to be replaced. We have had this car in to the dealer 5 times with none of the problems to the brakes, transmission, or steering resolved.

2001 Toyota Avalon experiencing problems with the brakes, and windows. There was a persistent problem with noise that seemed to originate from the front end. The noise was intermittent and noticeable after the vehicle was warmed, when making turns or when applying the brakes. An inspection revealed that the caliper slide was sticking onto the left front side. The brake rotors showed signs of glaze, there was a wobbly feeling when the brakes were applied, the passenger side heated seat was intermittent, the vehicle was pulling to the left, the drivers windows would go up and down, the stripping on the bumper was coming off, the steering would shake at times, the fuel gauge fluctuated, the radio buttons were fading, the cassette was inoperative, there was burning smell coming from the vent, the vehicle stalled with no warning, the wiper blade(s) were noisy, the windshield had "million" of dots all over it, and the front panel was lit for the back lights and there was a limited amount of air/heat that would blow on the drivers feet. The rotors were machined and the front and rear brake pads were replaced. The front struts were cracked and caused the front end noise. The radio, steering angle sensor and the front struts were replaced.
Dealer states that even though the indicator light comes on indicating the vsc system is malfunctioning that the system is still working as designed. I have had 4 visits to repair this problem including a factory technician. Dealer states I have nothing to worry about.
Radio reception is poor, resulting in radion fading in and out.
