1. First problem I had with my 2020 Toyota Corolla hatchback safety recall 20ta07 (backup lampsmay become inoperative) - 10. 29. 2020 2. Second problem was with the software draining the battery way too rapidly, which made me unable to start my car. I had to have a tow truck come by and he was able to recharge the battery (he knew to do that with my car instead of towing it away, because he was seeing this type of issue with this type of car a lot). I took it to my local Toyota dealership and had them inspect it. They told me that they need to update the software of the vehicle and that I should not be having this problem again after. *el1934 firmware update (5. 21. 2021)* 3. Third problem I had was with the temperature gauge. The needle pointer in the dash did not go up and stay in the middle between c & h. It stayed closer to c (cold). It took longer than it should have to heat up the interior of the car when I turn the heat on in the morning. I took it to my local Toyota dealership and after they inspected this issue, they told me that they needed to replace the thermostat unit. *ma001 thermostat assembly* (3. 19. 22) 4. Fourth problem is with the transmission. I felt jerking motions from the car when accelerating and when braking-coming to a stop. **26312 car jerking upon acceleration /found trnsmission code /need new trans assy upon inspection and heatlh chfck found code p07457f and po7757f solenoid a b both stuck off /rest memory /no changed /found need new trans mission assy /remove and replace tranmission assy and perform reset and initialization/perform hydrulic and electrical test /no problem found /problem at the transmission itself car jecking upon acceleration** transmission, automatic - replace* (12. 10. 2022) I found out online that the transmission problem was known for 2018-2020 Corolla hatchbacks, but Toyota did not replace it immediately. There should be a general recall for the transmissions for these vehicles ASAP!.

Tamara recall I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla le I have searched all over the web and find all aspects of this vehicle and complaints are the same that this vehicle has faulty wiring on the pcm this code keep popping up when I connect my computer to it p2757 which is p2757 means a problem with the torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid due to a bad torque converter or solenoid or electrical issues. The car is only two years old it should not have this problem this car only has 6,100 miles and I have had this car for all most a year also the the trac off light is also on which means that there is something wrong with the abs system also should be no reason for this car to have that problem this car is to new.

The car automatic transmissions shift very hard. The mechanic replaced pressure solenoid valve. I was informed that electronic control module is bad. The symptoms are similar to a volunteer safety recall a0j for 2007-2008 Corolla models equipped with 1zz-fe electronic control module. The ecm for certain 2005 through 2008 Toyota Corolla and Corolla matrix models equipped with the 1zz-fe engine and two-wheel drive may have been improperly manufactured. There is a possibility that a crack may develop at certain solder points or on varistors on the circuit board. In most cases, if a crack occurs at certain points or on certain varistors, the engine warning lamp could be illuminated*, harsh shifting could result, or theengine may not start. In limited instances, if cracking occurs on particular solder points or varistors, the engine could stop while the vehicle is being driven which may increase the risk of a crash.

Looked up a recall on the emc of 2007 Toyota Corollas. My car was rear ended on 12/31/2014. Ever since, my car has been having electrical problems. My radiator fan is not working and had to be hot wired by a mechanic for it to stay on while running. My ac is not working, my shifter is stuck in park which is caused by a bad solenoid. I have had it inspected for over 8 hours by certified mechanics at midas, and they couldn't fix it. They said that every test they did was reading that nothing was wrong but my ac and radiator fan and solenoid are not working. My car stalls out occasionally, it wont start sometimes, and it is idling louder than before.

I own a 2006 Toyota Corolla. The check engine light came on in the middle of driving but I did not notice any issues. The following day the car started shifting hard when I accelerated while driving. I took the car in for an oil change and they ran a diagnostic test and the code came back p2716: shift solenoid valve slt/range. I researched the code and found many forums with people having the same issues and the problem being the ecm. I took the car into the local dealership and gave them the information I found on the issues. They diagnosed the car and I said I needed the ecm replaced. The car has 82,000 miles and is out of warranty. The repair is running close to $900, the regional Toyota representative has offered to split the cost. I feel this is unfair and a recall should have been issued. I also have a friend who has a 2007 Corolla that just took her car in for the same problem. I am going to continue to speak with Toyota in hopes they will cover the repair.

My engine light came on indicating p2716-trans shift solenoid error-refer to TSB for ecm replacement. My mechanic explained to me that this was covered under warranty for the 2005 model year but I was told by the Toyota dealer that the mfg date of my car was 12/2005.
I own a 2006 Toyota Corolla le, and in November 2009 my check engine like lit up. I took my car to the Toyota dealership in mons, belgium. It turns out there is a problem with the pressure control solenoid. I am stationed in england, so I decided to take my care to the dealership there. However, they will not work on my car because it is us specification. So, now I am having issues with trying to work with the dealership in belgium to get my car fixed.
On Friday, October 23, 2009, my check engine light came on in my 2006 Toyota Corolla le. Once the light came on, the car had a "hard shift". On Friday October 30, 2009, I took the car to the local Toyota dealership and had the diagnostics run, which indicated a faulty p2716 pressure control solenoid "d" electrical. The service representative told me that I needed to have the computer replaced ($900) and that the car could shut off on me while in operation if I did not. After I had it replaced, I looked it up on the internet. Turns out that Toyota was aware of the problem based on a 9/2006 service bulletin, but chose to not issue a recall. I have a 110 mile round trip commute daily and after reading hundreds of posting from others that have encountered this problem, I count myself lucky. Many others have had the car stop on them going 70 mph on the interstate. I was lucky, but it could have turned out deadly. There are incidents of accidents occurring due to faulty p2716's. It is not a matter of if it goes out, but when. I think Toyota should be obligated to notify the owners of the 2006 Corolla le's that the part is faulty and to have it replaced.
Currently I own 1999 Toyota Corolla , model -ce which was originally used vehicle and was @8500 miles on it at the time of purchase. Car was in good running condition until on 8/29/09 car stopped suddenly while moving and smokes came out from engine hood. Without wasting time, insurance company was contacted immediately and car was towed to the repair shop. Repair shop personnel inspected quickly and I was told that wiring of the harness cable near the engine has been overheated and some have melted due to malfunctioning of solenoid on the starter which also caused battery to be overheated. I touched hood and it was very hot. We were lucky on that day otherwise battery could have exploded should we would have tried another attempt to start a vehicle. I had my wife and two kids in the car. As of now, repair shop is not sure about total extent of the damage and asking @$736. 00 includes replacement of battery and starter as well as labor towards finding, replacing by soldering misc harness cables. After doing this much, they will check again the vehicle to make sure problem is resolved, otherwise they have to continue to chase until car is fixed. This leads to uncertainty of cost and reliability of the vehicle even after repair. This event could have resulted into tragic incident for my family where my wife and two kids were in the car during the event. As of now, I was advised by original car seller rep, repair shop and few friends to sell it off in as is condition or after repair. As of now, car seller is offering $300. 00 for the car in as is condition. I am still wondering while wires overheated suddenly and smoked. I just did oil change a few days ago. Per insurance company, this damage is not covered under insurance and have to take care personally. This is a huge cost burden with unknown reason.

The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Corolla. While driving between 10-15 mph on normal road conditions, the vehicle exhibited an erratic hard shift during acceleration. The check engine warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel and remained lit until the engine was turned off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for inspection and the failure was labeled as the pressure control solenoid. The component was replaced, but the failure recurred. The dealer performed diagnostic testing and they recommended that the engine computerized system be replaced under warranty. The vehicle has not been repaired due to the massive national back order for the part. The failure mileage was 69,500 and current mileage was 70,029.
