1 Brake Disc Caliper problem of the 2017 Toyota RAV4

Failure Date: 02/08/2020

Water pump leak I believe started around 21,000 miles. Along with the replacement of front brake pads I complained of right front side of car with squealing noise possible drive belt or dirty rotor. At one point both front rotors slightly warm to touch after 45 min city drive home, another time right rotor hot and left slightly warm. They replaced front brake pads not checking calipers or hose and just put on brake pads and said right tire worn and replaced both and said it will solve the problem. After a few days Toyota rep and told him the said intermittent squealing somwhat grind noise was back. Not taken seriously I reported to corporate and went to another dealer to do diagnostic checking calipers and found nothing. Around 50,000 miles I found powder next to drive belt. They discovered it was a leaking water pump and replaced my pump and drive belt. 41/2 months later the car had same squealing now rubber sound added, steering stiffer and hissing sound came from front of engine at light. Took in and couldn't find anything wrong in entire day 8 hrs. I drove away and by third light squealing for 25 mins and neighbors heard me coming, one couple reported loud at front right tire. I reported that immediately to justin at precision that my car was worse and turning steering wheel right and left is now happening as nieghbor reported but no return call. This car sound typically happens at braking at light and hitting gas at light on city streets drive at 40-50 miles per hr. But usually at lights can hear. Called justin after left shop car right and left turns squeak when turning steering wheel only one day did I hear two different sounds whirring noise and hissing sound 3 days apart at light stopped 3 weeks my car, jumped forward at a stop I've had it aligned new tires & still intermittent noise now worse Dec 2019 changed water pump and drive belt /sprayed engine down.

2 Brake Disc Caliper problem of the 2019 Toyota RAV4

Failure Date: 06/24/2019

On 01/10/17 at 11656 miles I reported a burning smell present consistently for several months. Lester glenn Mazda said they couldn't detect anything. I went for service 19may 18 and was told that my rear brakes were bad. Report I have from that service shows red for rear and green for front brakes at 36865 miles. 26 may 18 Mazda lodi told me all 4 brakes and rotors were bad. I asked how the front brakes were bad 1 week afterlester glenn told me the front brakes were green. I was told that most shops have inexperienced people but lodi has all their people trained as master technicians. I was told lester glenn probably didn't measure. Lodi said rears were really really bad and that I should replace all 4 brakes and rotors and all 4 tires for even wear. I was told car was not safe to drive without the work. I got the work done. Repairs were completed at 37354 miles. 24may19 I am told all brakes are good. I call 06 Jun 19 and complain that I am hearing squeaking. I call& I'm told that it's probably nothing but best to see if it persists. Sound persists. I go in24 jun19 and complain of noise and vibration through steering wheel and floor board. The service manager drives the car with me and hears the squeak faintlybut says he doesn't feel the vibration and that the brakes are working well. I let them check and am told the left rear caliper is seized. The caliper went through the pad to the rotor and rear pads and rotors were replaced. I am still hearing squeaking and I fear it the right rear caliper since it wasn't changed. I've changed my rear pads and rotors twice in 1yr/20000 mi. I found out my car is affected by TSB r052/16c (04-001/18) and 04-002/19. R052/16c resulted in a production change in rear calipers starting in September 9 2016. Mazdausa won't acknowledge that their dealers should have replaced my rear calipers or that they should have issued a recall.

3 Brake Disc Caliper problem of the 2009 Toyota RAV4

Failure Date: 01/15/2019

Brake pedal goes very low to the floor before engaging. Seems to be a common problem that I have heard lots of complaints about for this model. In other similar cases Toyota has told customers is normal. Since this has started the brakes have been bled with no improvement. Also (probably a separate problem) both the back brake calipers had to be replaced because of leaking, first the right rear and later the left rear. Brakes were again bled each time, leak was gone but still a very low pedal.
