Still awaiting fix for airbag recall. . . I have had to replace items due to rust, and the frame is extremely rusty as well. Love the vehicle. . . . Hate the rust. . . Previous years have been recalled due to rust, not the 2006 model. Please fix this!!! thank you.
Takata recall. I received the recall notice around June or July of this year. I scheduled the repair with our local Toyota dealership. They gave us the date to bring it in. My wife took off from work and took the car and then they did not have the repair parts in stock and said we would have to reschedule. I am off work for the rest of year for holidays so this morning I called to reschedule and now they tell me they only have one tech who can do the repair and he is off until Jan 15th. Now if this is an urgent safety recall and no one should ride in the passenger seat, please explain to the Toyota dealers what urgent safety recall means.

I have a notice for revision "safety recall dsf". The recall says I need to bring in for air bag replacment for passanger front seats. So August 31,2015 I took my Sequoia to Toyota of knoxville TN. Off of parkside dr. It was looked over and I was told they needed to order parts and I would be called for the repairs once the parts came in to schedule an appointment. It is now may 23,2016 and I have not been contacted for repairs to be completed. Also the trac control button stopped working and lights on the dash. Was there a recal for this also?.
Takata recall. I was notified by Toyota of the airbag recall in August 2015. I have checked repeatedly at my local dealer and they don't have any information on when the parts will be available. Initially, I was told by the dealer is should only take a couple of weeks.
Toyota issued a recall based upon a front passenger airbag issue. We had an appointment to fix the recall but Toyota says they are prohibited from doing the work. They have the part in stock. They do not have anyone on a waiting list. I want our car fixed. We have had to rearrange a trip taken in early September because of the recall and inability to have it fixed. We are following your recommendation that we do not use the front seat. We have been inconvenienced on a daily basis because we can not transport 7 people as we customarily do for school purposes. We have now had the additional burden and cost to rearrange two long distant trips at the end of this year because we can not use the car to carry people as it was designed. I understand there must be alot of cars to fix. I utilize mine in the manner of transporting 7 or a family of 4 with dogs and luggage. I do not understand why the recall can not be taken care of in an expeditious manner if the part is in stock and no one else is waiting for such a recall repair. Please explain why a loyal customer who purchased the vehicle for its designed purpose can not get your (problem) recall on the vehicle fixed immediately when parts are not only available but in stock at our local dealer? I want the full use of my vehicle. I do not want to be inconvenienced further. Toyota has always gone the extra mile and earned our loyalty but if this is making no sense and causing grief and frustration.

We were notified by Toyota that our front passenger air bag has been recalled and we have not been given a date when it will be resolved. We were told to not use the front passenger seat until the airbag has been replaced but there is no timeframe for this to happen. I find it unacceptable that there is no set time to fix this serious problem in our car.

I have been calling lone star Toyota of lewisville, texas since I received the first recall notice in July 2015. Every time I call, they tell me they do not have the parts, still waiting on parts, OH now your name is not in our system for needing one. They told me today that they are just now receiving parts that they ordered in September 2015. This is ridiculous. No one can stop driving their car for over a year and wait for parts. Please get the parts to the dealers so the owners can get the dangerous recall fixed.
