1 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem of the 2006 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 07/30/2009

2006 Toyota Sequoia has experienced intermittent electrical problems since purchase. On 30 July 09 vehicle experienced multiple computer failure of ecu, vsc, and other computers. Toyota tech reps say vehicle could not have caused problem, therefore it must be an "external' fault. However, there is absolutely no evidence of any external arcing or other power surge indicative of an "external" event. Toyota refuses to admit potential of a latent defect and says incident must be referred for insurance. Toyota will not address logical questions as to why other (non-protected systems such as the radio) in the vehicle still function in light of the alleged "external event. " additionally, there were no circuit breaker or fuses blown, so again how is it possible for the "external event" theory to be valid? given the anecdotal evidence on the web concerning Sequoia ecus and vsc computers, what action can NHTSA take to have the manufacturer address the problems?.

2 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem of the 2003 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 09/13/2007

While driving at approximately 25 mph, my 2003 limited Toyota Sequoia 4wd vehicle lost power, cutting the engine off in the middle of the road. Placing vehicle into park, then attempting to restart vehicle would not result in restart of vehicle. Had to have vehicle moved out of heavy traffic manually, then towed to Toyota dealership. Dealer found efi fuse number 1 blown, replaced, fuse blew again at dealership, replaced fuse a 2nd time and the vehicle hasn't blown the fuse since (a couple of days later). Dealer noted they do not know why efi fuse blew either time.

3 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem of the 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Failure Date: 12/06/2005

Headlights will not shut off after the engine is turned off. Also, a buzzing noise comes from the fuse box while the headlights are on. As a result of the headlights staying on, the battery runs down. The only way to start Sequoia is to jump/boost with another car/battery. Legacy Toyota, 4115 jonesboro road, union city, GA 30291, 770. 964. 8888 replaced the fuse box junction block assembly and block assembly on 11/30/04.
