Knocking noise from vacuum pump after engine is warm. Base on the NHTSA id 10133645 - Toyota technical service bulleting t-sb-0316-17. Because of the safety hazard involve in the probably defective part, and because of my medical condition at the time of the Toyota service bulleting I could not take the vehicle for the technical service bulleting to DE Toyota dealer until 11/18/2019 ( after the applicable warranty of 36 months or 36,000 miles - customer number 192461 at adriel auto in rio grande puerto rico. There the vehicle was inspected by a technician # 443901. At the moment of the inspection the technician did not found the condition that I was concern about. I was told that that knocking sound from the vacuum pump was normal. That I should not to be worry about it. Because of my medical condition and treatment. I was not able to follow up my complaint at Toyota DE puerto rico. Now that I am feeling a little bit better I am reporting this to you with the hope that a solution be found. I have never own a vehicle from any manufacturer that had such a knocking sound from the vacuum pump. I am concern about my safety and the safety of others if my brake system fails and someone gets injure or kill. It is my perception that the knocking noise from the vacuum pump is a safety hazard and that Toyota corporation must replace the defective part. My vehicle have only 10,000 miles because of my illness and also because I do not feel safe driving it. I know I am a bit late to report this condition on my vehicle and that the warranty period have expire. But the problem persist, as a remedy I am requesting that all of the Toyota vehicles that present this knocking noise from vacuum pump should be recall an repair under an extended warranty. Thank you.

For my information I would like to know if what I was reading in the internet about my truck is real. So this is my question, I owned a 2005 Toyota Tacoma with a 4. 0 v6 engine that is making a knocking sound with 60,186 miles on the engine. What I found is that those engines is, that they have problems with the # 1and 2 cylinders and will create a hazardous situation on the road. I reed that is a non-public recall on those engines(vo-6) is the code for that. Please write (ASAP) because is difficult to enter with a conversation with any Toyota dealer about my concern. Now they said that they don't have any information about the recall. To fix my truck is going to take me to spend thousands of dollars. If the recall is true what is my right to get the Toyota corp. To honor this issue?.

Driving down the road a knocking noise was heard. Took it into the Toyota dealership and they said they would look at it. At first it was just the cam that had broken on the left side. And they were charging $6,000 a week later they called and said the entire engine needed to be overhauled and it would cost $12,000. The dealership said it was a manufacturer defect and they would contact Toyota for help. Toyota is stating since I do my own oil changes that they are unable to help me and that it hasn't happened to anyone else so I am out of luck.

Truck will making a rattle or knocking noise under load usually I can hear at 25 mph sometime 45 mph even at 65 mph at high way speed . That sound come from front of the engine, sound like timing chain losing tension . Took to dealer the tech also heard that noise but they said nothing they can do about it right now ,and they recommend to use premium gas and I did that but still the same problem . Contact Toyota of USA for two month back and forth no resolve. All they got to said is not a drive-ability problems, they can't do anything about it yet. That noise really annoying, I can hear more and more every day but dealer and Toyota of USA can't do anything about that. . . . I very very worrying one day my engine lock up or break down on the road. . .

Vehicle has a history of problems that the dealer cannot determine the causes. Vehicle does not properly shift into gear, has a rough idle, and a knocking noise in the engine. Dealer could not duplicate the problems because they were intermittent.
