The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the check engine, auto start/stop, and another unknown warning light illuminated. The message "grill shutter malfunction low voltage" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the battery sensor, alternator, and ecu had short-circuited. The dealer replaced the battery sensor, alternator, and ecu; however, the failure persisted with the check engine and another unknown warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who determined that the grill shutter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.
