2 Transmission Solenoid problem of the 2005 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 06/10/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated the check engine light illuminated and the vehicle would become resistant when driving uphill. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where a diagnostic test showed a faulty transmission solenoid. The dealer stated that the entire transmission would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 91,000.

3 Transmission Solenoid problem of the 2000 Toyota Tundra

Failure Date: 06/13/2007

The contact owns a 2000 Toyota Tundra. While driving 5 mph, the vehicle stopped accelerating. The dealer stated that the shift solenoid could be the cause of failure. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who stated that the overdrive gear cluster was not working properly. As of June 27, 2007, the vehicle has not been repaired. The current mileage is 145,000 and failure mileage was 144,000.
