When I try to accelerate the car rattles and will not go. I was told my 2014 Volkswagen Beetle's engine was burning oil internally so they told me I needed an oil splicer/seperator I did that and it did not help. I dont undrestand but I have taken my car in to be serviced twice a year since I purchased ii in 2015. I am told I need a new engine.

I have a 2000 Beetle. Bought it used with a extended warranty. The problem started few months after the buying it. The consumption of oil is outrageous. I have to change the oil every 800 miles. I took the car to the dealer, the dealer performed a consumption oil test, and according with their test the consumption of oil was within the standards of a regular consumption. Having to check the oil level every 800 miles is stressful. Few week ago I had to change the spark plug because the car wouldn't start.

At 25,000 miles the car started burning excessive amounts of oil. At 28,516 vw finally agrees the car is burning oil excessively. Vw replaced piston rings. But at 35,000 the problem returns! now vw states this is "normal". Why is this normal now and the same problem was not normal before? I have recently learned per Volkswagen,is supposed to use a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. I was never informed of this by the dealership. This is totally ridiculous and unacceptable!!! its my opinion, but I suspect that vw is well aware of this problem. They probably don't want to eat the cost of replacing thousands of engines. So. . . . They declared this situation "normal". I am total discussed with vw of America. Because this car burns more oil then the old heap I got tired of. I would like a new engine that does not burn oil!!!! "normal" is just a standard way to weasel out of taking any responsibility for the very real problems that myself and other have with their vehicles!!!!.

Vehicle burns 1 quart of oil for every thousand miles. This is normal. Consumer feels engine is burning the oil and should not also it may be an emission issue. Please provide any further information.
Bad wiring, alarm goes off in the middle og the night, rear hatch light comes on and off, wiring is bad in cold weather, front headlights keep burining out, excessive oil consumption, at about 2000 miles engine will be bone dry, excessive road nosie, radio no longer works, in general the car is in bad shape after two years of use and it seesm to be all factory related type of problems.

Consumer is having problems with the oil consumption in this vehicle. Vehicle has been examined for oil leaks. Vehicle runs low on oil every 1000 miles. Dealer says this is normal for this type of engine.
Excessive oil consumption (1 quart oil every 250 miles!) yet dealer and manufacturer don't want to fix it until we said we would suit if they don't act on it.
