2 Car Stall problem of the 2009 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 05/15/2019

Vw is aware that there are issues with many of their cars for vw/Audi/Porsche where the timing chain gives prematurely and no recall has been done on these vehicles. There is a civil lawsuit that has been settled but the payouts have not been disseminated since it was settled in 2018. This is a major concern due to there being a vast number of makes and models with this manufacturer yet they have yet to take full responsibility for the defects in their calls. I have a 2009 vw Cc that I have yet to receive any reimbursement on costs to repair this issue. When I wrote into vw to advise them of my problem and to only ask that I be reimbursed for the costs of repair, they responded with "sorry, your warranty has expired. " my car was in motion many times while I was on long distance travel or in the city and it stalled on me two times while in motion. Both times I had to have my car towed in before I found out the exact issue with it. The last time I was going over a bridge and my car would not accelerate while in traffic going at least 50 mph.

6 Car Stall problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 05/09/2018

My vehicle had 2 recall not resolved with Volkswagen. One of them is 20ae fuel pump module recall, which could potentially caused loss of motive power while in motion. I had this symptoms 5 times in a week, when I drive on the street the car just stalled. Volkswagen's dealer told me the repair is unavailable. They have no estimation how long I need to wait before the repair parts available. I definitely don't want to take the risk to continue driving my car. But alternate transportation in not provided by Volkswagen.

"takata recall" recently while I was driving on the highway, I slowed down to stop at a stop light but when the light turned green I proceeded to drive and my car was stalling and almost got hit from behind by an 18 wheeler. Now im afraid to drive my own car something needs to be done about this.

10 Car Stall problem of the 2013 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 01/11/2018

Car has stalled 2x while driving on a highway. When trying to accelerate, the car will buck and hesitate at about 2k to 3k rpm and have virtually 0 acceleration. The epc light will kick on and then the car has slower acceleration but it does not buck and hesitate. The issue happens when the car is cold and warming up. When the car stalled, I was downshifting, and then the battery light came on. The car just died. Had to pull over and then restart the car. The car would then buck and hesitate again until the epc light came on. I am afraid this will happen when crossing a road and cause an accident.

11 Car Stall problem of the 2013 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 12/17/2017

Car loses engine power during acceleration to the point it feels the car may stall out. This issue is not constant, it is random. There is no " check engine" light at any time before, during, or after event. I learn today that my fuel module and related seals and pump are faulty and need to be replaced but my VIN is not part of vw recall for this very same issue on other Cc's. This is a dangerous problem when driving to suddenly lose engine power. Perhaps the recall needs to be expanded?.

13 Car Stall problem of the 2010 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 09/15/2017

Vehicle will stall out while driving or pulling out from a stopped position. It is very dangerous as it does this on a daily basis. My daughter had it stall out on the interstate while giving it gas to pass another vehicle. She was in the middle of the interstate sitting there and called 911. The vehicle restarted but put her in a very dangerous position on a busy interstate. There is a recall on the fuel pump and electrically that was issued a year ago -- however there are no parts to fix it they say. We have not been notified of any parts. I have called vw and they said that if I took it to a dealer for diagnosis they might could help with financial assistance. I took it to the dealer and they said there was no code indicating that the fuel pump problem existed. However, I explained that the car is doing exactly what the recall says is happening. I am so frustrated and feel that vw is putting our family at risk on a daily basis. We need this part and repair done on our car immediately. Waiting over a year when a known problem exist is just not right -- when this can put a life at risk. If the car stalls out pulling out in front of another vehicle or going down the road on a busy interstate when giving it gas to pass a vehicle is just a horrific accident waiting to happen. Numerous lives could be impacted.

The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

17 Car Stall problem of the 2011 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 11/07/2016

2011 vw sport Cc - less than 52,000 miles. Stalls while driving on the interstate. Dealer advised timing chain issues and while repairing the engine they had to replace unreliable parts. Known issue but none under recall. They said a screen shattered in the engine, a known issue is what caused all of this. All manufacturing error. Customer care admitted that and so did the dealer service department. Quote $1400. Then the next day they they "discovered" the car needed a new cam shaft. New quote $2200. Nothing under warranty/recall . Vw customer care told me to save my receipts incase a recall comes about but did not care about the safety of the car or the fact they are replacing unreliable parts. If they know they are unreliable why are they not on recall. Wrote a letter to the ceo and got the cost reduced to $1400. Receipt shows one price no break down of costs and was told I could not have the parts back, even though I just paid $1400 for them. I have no idea what was under warranty or recall or was it all labor cost. Vw does not care about their customers. And by the way the air bag is still not repaired, that is under recall. Safety in vw - zero.

18 Car Stall problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 03/01/2016

2012 vw Cc with 72k. Always maintained at the dealership and oil change was done every 5-6k only at vw dealer. Issue stared t traffic lights, car stopped and when started it was running very rough. Sounded like running on 2-3 cylinders. Took the car to the deanship, found 8 codes, mostly misfires on all 4 cylinder and also issue with camshaft timing. Dealer told that they need to take the engine apart to diagnose the issue, cost $1200 just for diagnoses. I called vw America they suggested to take the engine apart and based on the problem they will conditioner if they will agree to help. Dealer proceed with diagnostics and found the issue. Broken bracket screen of part number 06h-103-144-j bracket. The missing screen was not found at all and this part failure caused more damage so I also needed replacement of the camshaft part #06-h109021k, valve and many other parts. Please see attached pictures of the damaged parts (internal engine parts) and invoice of what was replaced. I did some research and found that Audi with same engines used exactly the same part number that failed in my vehicle and they had issued recall campaign 15d6. Vw not willing to help or cover the cost with explanation that vehicle is out of warranty even Audi uses same engine and they are same company. I do have the old parts with me and I see that the part which was originally installed in my vehicle is 06h-103-166-g and the replacement part based on the invoice is 06h-103-144-j, the one that is part of the Audi recall. I was lucky that the issue happened at the traffic lights. I worked with regional case manager and her supervisor but they were not willing to do anything even when I mentioned the Audi recall. My case number with vw America is 160174354. Total cost for this repair and rentals has cost me $3100.

21 Car Stall problem of the 2009 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 07/27/2015

I just bought this 2009 Cc from buena park Nissan dealership in California, in February 2015 and put in just 6000 miles. I was driving to work on beverly bl on July 27th when all of a sudden the car just lost power while in motion. Fortunately I was in the outside lane and was able to pull to the side. After checking to see if there was a loose connection to the battery or whatever. . . . I started it and was able to drive 3 blocks to work before it stalled again. I had it towed to my mechanic and was diagnosed with p2293 low fuel pressure. He said it was drive able but that one day it may not start. After that incident the car has stalled 8 other times twice on the freeway and the last one was at an intersection with my wife and my 87 year old mother in law. I had high pressure fuel pump replaced and as the mechanic came to pick me up to get my car it stalled in the middle of an intersection while he was driving. It stalled again before we got to his shop. I decided to check into this issue and discovered that this is a common problem with the Ccs. I have not driven the car in a month and is parked in new century dealership in glendale,CA . After contacting Volkswagen corporate, they asked me to take it to the nearest dealership which I did. Four days later I got an email stating they cannot offer any financial assistance and more so I am responsible for the $130 diagnosis fee. It is only a matter of time before there serious fatalities from this very dangerous situation.

22 Car Stall problem of the 2009 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 06/02/2014

I have I code p2293 witch stalls my car . . . . I see all the other vw owners havae the same problem I dont know if vw should fix the problem with thay own expenses or what to do???.

23 Car Stall problem of the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Failure Date: 08/06/2013

The car is stalling while driving at medium or high speed - it seems that there is no more or too much gas coming into the engine. I had the fuel system cleaned already once and the problem seems to reappear - I usually take my foot off the accelerator until the engine seems to operate properly - this could be a dangerous issue if someone unaware of the problem were to drive the car.
