1 Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of the 2015 Volkswagen Golf

Failure Date: 07/09/2019

1. Brakes - backing and putting brakes on then into drive there is a popping noise from the rear end. Brakes squeak at low speeds, when braking at low speeds they squeal and grab, when braking at high speeds they grind. This has been from the beginning when the car was new until now. Two dealerships state "there is nothing they can do". 2. Coolant - continuous coolant smell in cab and around car after driving for any distance. Dealership has replaced cap, reservoir and hoses. State, "nothing more to do until a recall comes out".

2 Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problem of the 2013 Volkswagen Golf

Failure Date: 06/17/2014

I was sitting in traffic and when I began to accelerate the car just died in the middle of the road. I turned on my hazard lights for people could go around me so I could figure out how to get to safety. As soon as the car died I tried to turn the key to get it started again. Once I did that a bunch of lights came on and got a clicking sound once I turned the key. I then quickly put the car in park and was able to start the engine. Could be a very dangerous situation if this happened while trying to cross a dangerous intersection. I told dealer and they wrote it up but found nothing.
