The "combi" valve on my Gti stays stuck open causing more exhaust gases to flow through the catalytic converter. As a result nmy catalytic converter had to be replaced. After replacing to combi valve. It happened again.

2 Engine Exhaust System problem of the 2003 Volkswagen GTI

Failure Date: 11/19/2003

My clutch failed at 14,000 miles. My ignition fails regularily, the ignition coil has been recalled and now I am having problems with my catalytic converter. I have owned vw's all of my life and traded in my last vw that had 170k on an original clutch.
