1 Car Will Not Accelerate problem of the 2020 Volkswagen Jetta

Failure Date: 08/22/2020

The epc light comes on randomly at highway speeds when revving up the engine to overtake cars. The engine suddenly bogs down and engine rpms are limited to 3000 when light is on. It could be a potentially dangerous situation because the car will not want to accelerate and forces me to get off the freeway. The only way for the light to come off is to turn off the car and turn it back on. I visited a local vw dealer and they informed me of a fault code p227900 intake air system leak passive/sporadic. They performed an air intake system test and found no problems. This is the third time this epc light comes on. If it happens a 4th time I will once again take it to the dealer if something comes on. It is very frustrating that I can't rev my car at highway speeds or else this light keeps turning on.

2 Car Will Not Accelerate problem of the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta

Failure Date: 11/15/2017

A year ago the vehicle would not accelerate while driving and would then come to a stop. It was taken to the dealership where they said it was a wiring issue. In the past year the vehicle will turn off when sitting in traffic or at a light. Car will not detect key fob even when new batteries have been used. Car will say no key.

3 Car Will Not Accelerate problem of the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta

Failure Date: 10/09/2017

At any time, day or night, any time of the year, when accelerating from a stop or attempting to pass another vehicle, this car will fail to accelerate when pressing down on the gas pedal. The delay can be as long as 5 seconds and since I never know when it will happen, I feel the vehicle is very unsafe. It can fail to accelerate in the middle of an intersection with traffic coming at you from both directions and you will not be able to get out of their way. I feel I take my life in my hands every time I step into this vehicle and recommend that on one ever buy one of these death traps!!!!.
