My radio in my vw is compromised. The individuals identity themselves as fbi agents and when I speak back to agents I am told, I'm not suppose to speak back to agents. (correct me if I'm wrong) the volume in my car is being adjusted at the confidence of the agents. When the agents put the volume up I can hear lower the speaker, which initiates the volume being raised inside my car. When the volume is lowered inside my car by the agents, it allows the agents to hear what I'm saying inside my car. (my assumption) today I tried adjusting my treble, bass and mid-range volume and was able to but no changes to my system occurred. The same situation is occurring with my apple iphone when I listen to music through air pods via bluetooth and wired pods. I have also been told by the agents I should been shot, I do find this very alarming and a violation of my u. S. Constitutional right.

I have the 2019 Jetta sel premium that includes the beats audio system upgrade. The speakers rattle and sound blown starting at just below 50% volume. I am at the dealer and they are inspecting the issue. There are many complaints of this on public forums. It seems as if the stereo head unit is too powerful for the speakers or is improperly allocating power to the speakers instead of the subwoofer. It is definitely not right whatever the issue is. This occurs on fm radio, satellite radio or iphone apple music via carplay.

I have identified a matter related to the rear view cam which merits attention. I contacted vw directly as well as my local dealership and neither felt that further action was warranted. Since this is clearly a safety issue it seemed that the next step would be contacting this agency. Because of a glitch in the rear cam software I narrowly avoided two separate incidents; in one there was a close call with a vehicle passing behind me and in another a neighborhood child was riding a bicycle directly behind the vehicle. At issue is the fact that the rear view cam display will stop transmitting images if you brake while backing up, turn on the radio and then resume backing up. To recreate the problem follow these steps: 1. Start vehicle 2. Shift into reverse rear view cam image seen in display view 3. Apply brake until vehicle at a full stop 4. Turn on radio 5. Radio stations appear in the display view 6. Take foot off brake and continue backing up 7. Radio station continues in the display view and not the image behind the vehicle here is a video demonstrating the glitch: https://drive. Google. Com/file/d/13gac4i5gkwnofk6z8j8y77jgudxhqrbi/view?usp=sharing since this is a safety issue I thought you might be interested and want to investigate and find a remedy for - this apparent software glitch.

My 2012 Jetta radio/stereo went dead. Lots of other 2011 Jetta stereos died too. Bad batch for us consumers. I want a compensation check mailed to me for 363. 23 the cost I have to pay best buy for a new one. Read the forums thousands of other Jetta owners in 2011 had this happen. Thank you.
My 2010 Jetta wolfsburg's locks do not work whenever it rains - driver's side door is locked when unlock car, but other doors are unlocked. Have to use key to open door. Furthermore, the passenger door on driver's side does not lock at all so can be opened when parked at a light, etc. The car has a sunroof and when rains condensation builds up around passenger side door and window on driver's side (have seen mildew and mold growing so clean after ever rain). Radio was working and died during rain. Fuses are ok. Dealer says radio is dead and $900 to replace with a factory one. I am concerned about side airbags working along with being able to open a door that should be locked.

While either stationary or in motion, and no matter where the vehicle is, there is a pronounced rattling that comes from the front passenger side door, and occasionally from the driver's side as well, when the radio is turned up to an enjoyable volume. This is a potential safety hazard as it's a rather irritating phenomenon that distracts the driver while operating the vehicle. I suspect this rattling is due to a lack of sound deadening or other form of noise insulation inside the doors. This notion is further supported by considerable road noise caused by the apparent lack of sound insulation in the floors as well.
The backup camera intermittently fails to work along with the other functions(e. G. , radio) of the information screen. A local dealership "rebooted" the info system but the problem has recurred.

The person on the other end of a phone call made via cars bluetooth and carplay, will hear an echo of themselves. The dealership replaced the radio, but the issue remains.
The ignition switch on my 2011 Jetta is regularly becoming stuck and I cannot turn off my vehicle. I spent over an hour on Saturday evening while parked in driveway trying to turn the vehicle off and remove the key to no avail. I had to remove the fuel pump fuse along with unplugging the battery. The radio system also went out. Following a loud pop the system quit working completely. Similar to many reports I have read online since the occurrence.
Turned on vehicle, went to turn on the stereo, and once I hit the 'power' button, it turned on and then the screen went black, resulting in the complete loss of the head unit, radio, blue tooth, and clock. Fuses were checked in both the fuse box and the stereo itself, and no fuses were blown.
Upon starting the car on Feb 8, 2017, the radio/nav system/bluetooth system did not work.
The car radio does not work. No display. No power. First was an intermittent problem when starting up the car, no display or radio power. Now no radio or display anytime.
I was driving to my cabin and when I woke up the next day and started my car - my radio did not work, the care was stationary in driveway when I noticed this problem. I drove to the dealer, thinking it was a fuse or something easy to fix and they said the radio is broken and it be over $1500. 00 to replace. I was a bit shocked - this radio is not fancy, standard stock radio. I started doing research in all the vw Jetta forums and many people (thousands of people have had this issue or an electrical issue that caused the radio to break) the 2011 Jetta radio is junk and it needs to be recalled. I'm not sure if this is another poor vw scam similar to the diesel mileage fraud? but several people in the forums are having the same issue. This need to be addressed by Volkswagen and repaired at no cost to the owners. A radio should last more than 4 years! thank you!.
On my way to my location I was listening to my radio without any issue. I got back in my car and my screen is black and radio is not working. I bought my car 4 months ago and am furious because the bumper to bumper warranty has expired. I have read many forums and see this has happened to many people. Why the hell has there not been a recall issued for this. From my research it is $800-$1000 to fix. It is not a blown fuse; already checked. Someone needs to look into this common problem and we need to hold th!m accountable. This is my first Jetta, and may very well be my last if this issue is not resolved.
My boyfriend and I drove to get dinner. On the way there my radio was fine we were singing and laughing. We get to the restaurant and I turn my car off and there were these little buzzing sounds, didn't think anything of it. It was a hot day cars make sounds. After diner getting in the car and getting ready to start driving I realize I can't play music! I always use the aux cord. At first I thought it was my phone then I looked up and seen that my touch screen was black. . . . Then I just thought it was turned off so I tired pushing the power button. . . Nothing. So on the way home my boyfriend looked up the fuses got the chart, and we pulled it out and it was perfect no nothing. Then I immediately got on the internet and started reading. No only did I find that similar models and previous years have had the same problem, but in a few months it leads to dead batteries, and the possibly that's your car is not reliable and it should be with an easy fix. I also found that the type of radio is very hard to find, I couldn't find it in vw parts and replacements, but instead finding earlier, and more update versions!.
Radio failure: radio was working regularly and stopped working upon turning on the car. Display is black.
I was driving and the radio just stopped working. The handsfree for the radio is not working as well. I was driving on a local road at the speed of 25-30 miles per hour.
Radio in 2010 Jetta tdi stopped working. It looks like it has no power but all fuses check good. There is many many of these same issues with the delphi radios in the Jettas in 2010. Follow this link to see the many owners that have been turned away with there faulty radios. The main safety issues is there is no longer the use of hands free cell phone using the bluetooth option. When my radio failed I drove the car on a Saturday morning and everything was in working order. When my wife got in to go to the store 30 min later the radio was completely dead. . Read more...
Dead radio and battery has parasitic drain my radio died. The screen went black while driving and it has not recovered. Since then I have had battery drainage problems. One of the fuses, #42 I believe, has blown and I have tried to replace it, but it blows again as soon as the car is turned on. There are a number of online forums documenting this and similar radio problems with this vehicle. . Read more...
Car worked fine the evening before. Started the car without incident the next day and the radio didn't work. There wasn't any screen or noise. The phone didn't work either. The fuses were checked and all were good. The radio (delphi p/n 28252585, vw # 1k0035180 ac), was taken out and all connections were good and tight as well. There are different websites filled with examples of this radio failure and vw reconstructing a proper unit for 2012. Please be proactive and search the web for yourself and as part of doing your job. I see no reason this isn't a recalled item. Please explain this to me and include both your name and title. I am awaiting your reply. Thanx.
I have owned this car since purchasing new in oct 2010 with the dealer doing all the maintenance work on it. On 8/30/13 the radio went dead, dealer replaced at no cost to me. This morning 8/17/15 I again have a dead radio, same as before, I called dealer and asked when they replaced the prior one and it is almost 2 years to the date! this time they said I would have to pay to replace it (I have never had a factory radio go bad in any car I have owned in 30 plus years of driving cars). I can live without the radio, but I like the safety of having the hands free bluetooth to talk on the phone. I have been thinking about purchasing a new Jetta for myself and giving this one to my teenage son, but I think I better unload this one if the radio is going to keep dying every 2 years. Btw when I bought the car, the manager of the dealership told me vw wanted to increase its market share. Here¿s a hint vw - you will not increase market share if you will not stand behind your whole product. You obviously have a problem here with this radio unit; do the right thing by replacing the units as they fail.
While driving, radio/cd/hands free telephone died. Screen flickered and then went blank, no power to all these functions. Vw repair said this model of radio installed on this year vehcile was a common problem, and that the radio unit is dead and will need to be replaced ($668 plus tax for a replacement by dealer). Plus an install fee. An ungodly price for a replacement radio that is only 4 years old. There are numerous complaints and threads out which warrant a recall. I use the hands free constantly for work and not being able to will make me have to use the phone in an unsafe manner. Safety is paramount. Update 9/15/cw.
Vw 2010 tdi - radio dead. Completely went black, unresponsive. Discovered wrong fuse in line with radio - 15a when it should have been 10a according to spec. This over time caused the radio to fry. Vw of a doesn't care about this issue and gives the standard reply that it is not under warranty. A 5 year old vehilce, with 100k miles - the radio should not be failing at this age, further, this is a 1000+$ fix. Ridiculous.
The contact owns a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the radio stopped working, which caused the vehicle's bluetooth to stop working. The contact's city has a hands free law for safety. In the cold winter months, the radio failure prevented the contact from being able to get any update information. The contact changed the fuses, but that did not correct the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the bluetooth feature failed to work whenever the radio was inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 61,000.
Radio went completely dead. Screen is blank and no response. Bluetooth and other features connected to the radio do work. Previous time in the car the radio was working fine. Now radio is dead and rest of car seams fine.
While driving, radio/cd/hands free telephone died. Blank screen, no power. All fuses fine. After removing radio and checking wiring /ground, auto stereo repair guy said that the radio unit is shot and will need to be replaced ($600 parts by dealer) or repaired for more. 2011 car has just over 300000 miles. Ridiculous.
Hands free/bluetooth/radio not working. Screen went dead suddenly. Fuses checked and all are ok. Inability to use audio unit is a safety issue. Called east coast vw in englewood, NJ and dealer stated car out of warranty. Car is a 2010 vw Jetta with 47,000 miles. Volkswagen of America contacted to no avail. Logged complaint with better business bureau. Battery replaced due to drainage.
Radio failed. All power and functionality to radio lost. This is a common issue and I believe a recall should be issued.
While the vehicle was in motion, the speakers made a loud pop and the entire stereo system stopped working (radio was not on). This included bluetooth and all hands-free functions for communication. Though the radio is not a safety issue, the bluetooth hands free function is vital, and it will not work. I've called vw and had it looked at, and learned that vw is aware that many of their 2010 vw Jettas were made with faulty radios. There are hundreds of reports of this same issue, and vw refuses a recall. Multiple vw employees said this is a common problem with this model, but the company will not take responsibility. I've quoted replacement cost and it falls between $700 and $800 to replace the system and have the ability to use my hands free function that was part of the reason I bought the vehicle. I've been fighting this for a few years, hoping vw would take ownership, but they still have not issued a recall.
While driving, my bluetooth handsfree device, including radio popped and went dead. Additionally, I have already replaced the entire fuel system, two ac compressors and the thermostat. Major issues with this model.
Car radio suddenly shutoff while driving and would not turn back on. Touch screen does not respond. Checked fuses on engine component and left side panel, and no fuses are blown. Now the passenger headlight and driver's side taillight are also out, but replaced with new ones they still do not come on. Very concerned that the electrical issues will drain the battery and that there is no apparent cause for this incident. . Read more...
Started car to leave work today and radio would not turn on just a black touchscreen. In researching this problem, I see there are hundreds if not more with the exact problem. So I hope this helps to get something rolling.
The radio quit working making the bluetooth hands free not operable? safety issue as I need the blue for talking while driving for work.
