2000 V70xcaw cross country wagon etm system failed. The ac hose compressor condenser was replaced. The vehicle was leaking gas and the o-ring seal on the pump sender was replaced. The front passenger window was inoperable when trying to use the master controls. The dealer replaced the module switch. The engine would whine at highway speeds while accelerating. The battery, oil pan, upper torque mount, angle gear, rotors, fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel seal and struts were all replaced. The cv boot was leaking. The turbo charger was replaced because of an oil leak.

: the contact stated while driving, at various speeds, the electronic throttle control module light illuminated followed by the vehicle operating at a reduced speed. The vehicle was seen by an authorized dealership for inspection and replaced the computer, but the problem returned. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The service department replaced the battery. Afterwards, the problem persisted and the vehicle was again seen by the dealer. The dealer determined the vehicle needed a new computer and the vehicle is currently at the dealer awaiting this replacement. The consumer stated he is still experiencing stalling problems. The manufacturer will not authorize the replacement of the ets. The dealer stated no codes were showing up. Updated 08/25/06.

The consumer wanted the etm replaced. The manufacturer would not comply with the consumers request, because the part had not failed. The consumer had difficulty removing the key from the ignition. The consumer was told a drink was spilled in it, however the consumer disagreed with that theory. The battery light illuminated, after showing signs of being weak, however the light came back on again. Updated 12/14/05.
Battery vent missing, battery boiled over. Battery acid sprayed over engine compartment drive belts, power steering hoses and brake lines.
