The battery drains after the car sits in one spot for more than two days. Had to buy a new battery. It did it again. The alternator is good. But the battery keeps draining. Can't afford to miss work or taking time to go get the battery recharged every week. This has been going on for a couple of months now.

For several years, my car's battery would prematurely drain to the point of my having to purchase several batteries in a much shorter period than usual. I had the alternator replaced under the mistaken impression that it was the problem. But only after researching the issue online was I able to determine the true issue. Apparently, a module used to control the navigational system is defective, and the company had known for years and still refused to notify owners and fix the issue. I am an agoraphobic person who suffers from bipolar disorder and other anxiety conditions, so simply sticking a car can be traumatic in certain situation. One such situation is expecting both one's navigation system and battery perform adequately and safely all the time; my reason for purchasing the car was because it had the premium navigation option, which, at the time, helped alleviate my anxiety by providing verbal directions in real time to my location, which reduces the anxiety from the agoraphobia. In several occasions over the past few years, my anxiety level has increased to unhealthy levels specifically because of the failure of the battery caused by some phantom drain from a module controlling the navigation system. Nissan literally put my life in danger in its failure to warn me about the faulty module. I disconnected the module and purchased a new battery a few months ago and all seemed well, other than no navigation. Now, in the middle of a pandemic my battery is dying again in the most inconvenient places such that I'm literally afraid to drive. Please help and make them fix this. While I know longer need the navigation with modern phones, having the bluetooth through the nav system is convenient, plus, I've lost a premium option that was my reason for buying it in the first place!.

Owned this car since new 12 years ago. Battery always drains if not driven in 7 days or so. Constant problem through 4 batteries. Just got a new battery and alternator. Car is garaged. Didn't drive it for 10 days. Dead battery again. Blogs tell me this is extremely common with 2004-2008 Acura Tl sedan 6-cyl. Blogs say it is the hands free link of bluetooth that is a chronic drain whether or not the car is running. So I park it in airport parking, take a trip, come back at midnight, a woman in long-term airport parking, totally unsafe for me, waiting for help to jump the car. Totally unacceptable. Not safe. You need to do something! next block says "when did this happen" and asks for a specific date. I will use today' s date, but it happens anytime I don't drive it for 7 days or so. The bloggers all have the same identical same problem. This is chronic.
My 2005 Acura Tl has lost power at least a dozen times while I have been driving on the freeway. The battery also completely drains after the car has not been driven for a day or two. I just replaced the battery and have had the alternator tested at least half a dozen times by 3 different mechanics. My issues sound very similar to the fuse box recall but my VIN does not fall under the recall apparently.

First off my driver side power window has never worked. I changed my window motor with the regulator twice. That did not fix my window. I changed my drivers master window module twice. I checked all of the fuses and the power window fuses were good. My power window still doesn't work after $400 in parts and $400 in labor. I took my car to the Acura dealership because my car had a few recalls. The person helping me at the dealership was real rude and disrespectful. He told me the only recall I had was for my srs airbag. He had to order the part. I haven't received a phone call from the dealership to let me know the part was in. Two weeks later I go in and check if the part was I n. The same person that helped me came up to me and had an attitude and was disrespectful again. He told me the part was in but they can't service it that day. They never communicated with me. Horrible service at karen radley Acura. I told the service guy that my car does not want to come out of first gear and there was a recall on my transmission. He was real rude and told me that I had to pay $6000. I did a little research and my 02 Acura Tl type s with my VIN number has many recalls. 1 for my air bags. 2. For my transmission 2nd gear. 3 for my drivers power window. I told this Acura service guy that I had recalls for all 3 things and he laughed at me. My cluster fuse keeps blowing and the code that comes up is for my transmission range sensor. 70+ people with an 02 Acura Tls have had the same issues as me. I just contacted Acura and they told me that the transmission has been completed. No recall has been done on my car. I need help please.

The hands free link malfunctions and drains the battery. If the car sits for more than a day, the battery is dead and it will not start. This has left me stranded more than a dozen times. A search on the internet reveals that thousands of Acura Tls have had the same issue. The dead battery leaves people stranded and eventually leads to the destruction of the alternator. Acura knows this is an issue, but has not done anything.
The contact owns a 2009 Acura Tl. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled more than twice without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The alternator assembly was replaced three times and the battery had been replaced more than five times. The failure continued. The contact also took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the alternator assemby and battery needed to be replaced. The independent mechanic replaced the parts, but the failure continued. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for further diagnostic testing. It was diagnosed that the radio needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.

The contact owns a 2007 Acura Tl. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the vehicle stalled and all of the warning lamps illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the hands free link failed, causing the battery to drain. As a result, the alternator and hands free link needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 119,000.
The contact owns a 2005 Acura Tl. Immediately after the vehicle was purchased in November of 2007, it began idling roughly and the engine vibrated. A few months later, while driving approximately 60-65 mph, the vehicle stalled and would not restart. Approximately 15 minutes later, the vehicle restarted and the contact drove to his residence. Later that week, the vehicle was driven to the dealer for a diagnostic and they stated that the failure was due to build up in the fuel injector. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also noticed that the vehicle would crank slowly in the mornings. He returned the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the battery was defective. The battery was replaced; however, the failures persisted. The oxygen sensor, fuel ratio sensor, and the alternator belt were all replaced. After the most recent repairs, the vehicle stalled again and has not been repaired since. The VIN was unknown. The current mileage was 41,000 and failure mileage was 37,000. Remailed 12/05/08.
