There has already been a major recall for most 2006 326xi models that needs to be also extendes to my vehicle. It is obviously an issue on other models, and the manufscturer needs to correct this before people are harmed since by default the module assumes noone is sitting there and will not deploy.
On September 7, 2018 I lend my car to my son so he could run some school related errands he needed to attend to. That day he had also taken my daughter with him as they were going to have lunch after he had finished all of the errands he had to do for that day. Around 3:10 p. M. My son got into an accident which had caused both front airbags to deploy. Soon after the accident a noticeable cut was noticed on my daughter left cheek which was caused from the air bag deployment.

I am frightened to death that the aforementioned recall of almost the entire srs controls was not properly fixed. Duplicated warnings for both have been a daily problem and an exact replica of the symptoms prior. No accident to report, yet a completely valid potential cause for bodily harm! my other car is 16 years old and just was in for a new and active recall as the bags were deploying shrapnel and plastic. . . . And she's 16 years old! I appreciate your help and consideration! looking forward to a prompt response! I'll be driving it to my nephew's wedding at fort campbell army base.
I took my vehicle to a BMW authorized service dealer for the repair of the "airbag recall" notice I received in the mail. The dealer did the recall repair and about a week later the light came back on and has remained on. After that happened my electric started acting up and also I was not able to get my convertible roof to go up or down ever again. I politely contacted the dealership, (and not wanting to bad mouth them) it apparently fell on deaf ears followed by what I felt was an accusation and insult on my ignorance of being an older woman and that it was impossible, that maybe I did something to it. I didn't want to issue a complaint because they are a reputable operation plus I'm retired, on limited income and didn't know how to get this resolved. I welcome any help you may want to offer or any direction in regards to this. Thank you in advance for taking time to read this, as I may be way of base by submitting this here. Ps. The convertible top worked perfect as well as my electrical prior to bringing in my vehicle for the recall, to be clear, it was that same afternoon/early eve. When I left the dealership that my electrical and dash lights went crazy and I couldn't use my convertible roof anymore. The airbag light came on about a week later and has stayed on ever since, for about 5 or 6 years now and still hasn't gone off.

Just took my 2002 BMW in to replace defective airbags. BMW sterling, va wanted $1611. 05 to replace airbag control unit/sid. Did not pay them. . . This should be looked into immediately. . . They are ripping people off. They replaced the airbags and you have a light on - so are they functional or not. . . They are ripping people off. . . James e. Mendes 703-587-8599.
Takata recall. Recall 15v-318 and 14v-428 are recalls that I cannot get repaired. I have called customer relations twice without a response. I have called wichita luxury collections 1-316-719-8300 since may 2015 and July 2015 and they still do not have parts. I expect better service. If they take this recall seriously.
About the airbag takata.
I took my BMW for an airbag recall to classic BMW on 6800 north dallas pkwy, plano, RX. They did not discuss any charges and supposedly they changed my airbag on the driver side for free. This was completed on June,5 ,2017. On June,13, 2017 my airbag sign started coming up. Has never had issues with my car in the past regarding air bag sign. Now classic BMW wants me to pay 180 dollars just to diagnose something they worked on. Now they are giving me on the text message a laundry list of items related to air bag. Whatever has happened is what they have damaged. I tried to work it with them and talk and explain. It seems they don't want to discuss it at all. My car was working very clean and properly.
Both of the air bags, drivers and passenger turned off and I feel very unsafe driving my car. I checked online and my car has a recall for them. However my specific VIN for my car does not have a recall although it has the same problems with the airbags.
