1 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2006 BMW 330

Failure Date: 11/10/2018

In houston, texas, on November 10, 2018, at night I was driving my 2006 BMW 330ci convertible, and when upon entering an entrance ramp from tomball parkway onto beltway 8, I suddenly noticed a metal pole that was resting in the middle of the highway, in an attempt to avoid it I braked and when the car became stationary, the driver and passenger airbags deployed without hitting anything with my front bumper. Moreover, I strongly believe recall 15v318000 and recall 14v348000 that were installed at momentum BMW on March 9, 2018 were defective modules of the airbag deployment system, including the propellant in the airbag inflator because the airbags deployed while my car was at a complete stop. In addition, I also suspect that the delayed deployment of the airbag system is due to the malfunction of the occupant-detection sensors in my sport seats. It begs an answer to the following: why did the airbag deployment system activate without any frontal impact to my car?.

3 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2006 BMW 330

Failure Date: 03/03/2016

"takata recall" BMW taking too long to correct the air bag recall issue. Since March 2016 I've lost the ability use the car due to defective takata airbag inflator and the potential to cause death due to air bag deployment. The car is now in pno status. BMW should be held responsible for any towing fees , to have the car towed to their facilities to correct air bag inflator.

4 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2002 BMW 330

Failure Date: 12/30/2015

Possible takata inflators - my husband and I were traveling down I-40 westbound in midwest city, oklahoma at approximately 65 mph when the driver side, side airbag and overhead airbag deployed without provocation. Plastic and debris flew in our faces/bodies, white powder filled the car, and I swerved across two lanes of traffic almost hitting another car in the process because my eyes were watering and I could not see very well, not to mention was in a daze because I had no idea what had just happened. My husband and I have both sustained injuries and the car is not driveable. I have pictures, but they will not upload to this site for some reason. They are jpg.

6 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2003 BMW 330

Failure Date: 09/01/2014

BMW issued recall 13v-172000 in may 2013 and expanded to recall 14v-428000 in September 2014 to include my vehicle. In their letter to NHTSA with regards to recall 14v-428000 they noted they should have enough parts to perform the recall in October 2014. An update to the recall notice on the NHTSA site states "a second notice was mailed when an adequate supply of parts became available, on December 1, 2014", however I have not received such notice and when I contacted BMW they stated on 12/15/14 "due to a high demand for parts, we are experiencing shipment delays but do anticipate receiving an increase in inventory supply over the next few months". They will not provide a date when they estimate the repair will be done. The recall notes that in a collision, the passenger side airbag inflator could rupture and metal fragments could seriously injure a passenger. Based on the lack of additional communication from BMW, and their recent statement that the repair could take several months, I am filing a complaint on their lack of urgency to resolve a serious problem that has been known at least since July 16, 2014, and should have been known on may 2013 when the original recall 13v-172000 affecting a lower number of vehicles was originally issued.

7 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem of the 2001 BMW 330

Failure Date: 07/15/2014

Takata recall received notice of the safety recall for passenger's frontal air bag. Excessive internal pressure could cause rupturing of the inflator resulting in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the passenger seat occupant other occupants. I have called coggin's BMW, ft pierce, FL six times since then, and have been told "they are still awaiting air bag". Going on two years, and have not gotten any satisfaction.
