2006 Cadillac Cts passenger side air bag sensor . Original problem was the service air bag light came on the dash approximate mileage 68700. Took the car in for service and came back as passenger side module had failed. ( safety warning air bag would not deploy for any reason. ) had senor module replaced at cost of $ 596. 18 in reviewing the log this model year has had a number of this type of occurrence. What is needed to have a recall for this problem? how many air bags are disconnected due to cost of repair ? if a 3 year old car has a major safety component (air bag ) not working. What can be deemed when the majority of the cars reach 5 years? seat belts and air bags are for the passengers safety. This is a family car.

On my 2006 Cadillac Cts, I experienced a defect in the passenger frontal airbag. This occurred in August, 2009. I took the vehicle to the local Cadillac dealer and the problem was supposedly corrected. Now seven months later, the same defect light is coming on indicating the problem is occurring again. This is definitely a safety problem because the airbag may not deploy in an accident or may deploy while driving. The vehicle was under warranty when the first incident occurred but is now out of warranty. We are senior citizens with very limited income and are now told we must pay for the correction of this problem. I am concerned about driving the vehicle with my spouse as a passenger until we can get the vehicle repaired. Please let me know if I have any options under the safety defect act.

I was driving the vehicle and was hit from behind and went into a curb. My airbags did not deploy and the car would not restart. The engine completely shut off. The car continue to have problems with the engine and smoking after it was repaired by a gm dealer. We had to turn the car in and file bankruptcy after it stopped working.

I has driving down the highway and hit a vehicle that didn't have a turn signal on, the back bumper of the vehicle came off the vehicle went off the road. My rate of speed was 55mph, the front of my car was destroyed and the hood was caved in and up. I was wearing my seatbelt but my nose hit the steering wheel causing me to have a blooded nose, black eyes, and fractured nose. My air bags did not deploy. I was amazed. The vehicle that I hit was also a Cadillac but an older model.

The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Cts. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle began driving roughly. When the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle would rev as if it were attempting to accelerate. On October 9, 2007, while backing out of a parking space with her foot on the brake pedal, the vehicle lunged forward and made a loud noise. The vehicle crashed into a tree. The brakes did not work and the steering wheel would not turn. The air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle sustained front end damage, including the two front tires. The contact has pictures. The contact sustained a concussion, has headaches and dizzy spells, 50% hearing loss, and cracked two front teeth. A police report was filed. The vehicle was repaired, but still rides roughly. After starting up my car (a 2007 Cadillac Cts) and attempting to go in reverse, it stalled in my driveway and began to roll down the hill. I tried to brake and to steer the car, but it would not respond. I also noticed that my traction engaged light was on. I ended up sliding into the retaining wall and continued down the hill until I crashed into the brick pillar of my garage. My airbags did not deploy and onstar did not respond to the crash. I sustained injuries ended up in the er. The local gm dealer could not find anything wrong with my car and said that my airbags did not deploy due to the "angle" of the hit. My car had nearly $8000 worth of damage so this was not a little "fender bender". When I was at the dealership talking to the service department manager, he told me that there was another customer who was filing a complaint against gm because they had a similar problem. They had an accident in their Cadillac and sustained much more damage than I did, but their airbags failed to deploy also. I took delivery of the car at 463 miles and my incident took place around 503 miles or so. I had this car less than 30 hours when this happened. I still contend that the car stalled and caused this accident, but gm said that there were no codes found when they ran the diagnostic. I bought this car due to the onstar, and even though their website says that it can detect a collision without the airbags deploying, it did not work in my case.

The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Cts. While driving 10 mph and making a turn, another vehicle crashed into the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. 2005 Cadillac Cts - the caller's vehicle was involved in an accident while driving at 55 mph. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy. The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree. This was on the driver's side front. There were no indicator lights on prior to the accident. The vehicle has not been inspected by the dealership, and insurance company totaled the vehicle. The caller saw no reason for the air bags not to deploy. . Two injured were injured in this crash. T a police report was taken. There was no fire.

While driving vehicle was involved in a collision. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy. The head rest failed. Consumer, and passenger sustained neck injuries. . . . Consumer and wifve suffered whiplash. It required several months of doctor visits and physical therapy.

While driving consumer's vehicle swerved because there was a deer in the road, and went into a ditch , after gaining control vehicle struck a concrete abutment head on. The air bags did not deploy.

The consumer was parking the vehicle when the gas pedal became stuck causing the consumer to crash into a building head on. Upon impact the air bags did not deploy. Consumer sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

While driving on the freeway consumer heard a noise under the vehicle. Consumer tried to control the vehicle and it began to swerve. While trying to keep it under control, vehicle flipped over, and the air bags failed to deploy. Vehicle was totaled. The consumer believes the steering shaft bolt became loose and caused the accident.

Consumer has continuous problems with air bag readiness light. Light will remain on for long periods of time . The consumer was concerned that the air bags may or may not deploy.

2007 Cadillac Cts. Consumer states problems with brakes the consumer stated the vehicle was only 4 months old when the brakes failed to respond and the consumers son crashed into a concrete wall. Three years later, the consumer received a recall in the mail regarding the brakes. Also, the air bags failed to deploy. Recall 10v105000.
