Tl the contact owns a 2011 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that the timing chain failed and the vehicle made an abnormal banging noise. The noise was a distraction to the contact's driving. Whenever the vehicle was idling in traffic, the engine shook as if it would stall. The vehicle was driven to mark christopher auto center (2131 e convention center way, ontario, CA 91764, (909) 321-5860) where it was diagnosed that a new timing chain was needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was 52,000.

I was driving to work and the car made a loud knocking noise I pulled over and the engine shut off. I called to be towed back to dealer where we bought the car and later that day I called them and they said the engine locked up. The dealer called gm and they were told to rebuild the engine. This is not acceptable. The car has about 33,000 mile on it. We have had all maintance service proformed by the dealer. What are our options?.

I took my 2006 Cadillac Cts into a gm dealer for a recall. They also changed the oil. Ever since they changed the oil, my car has been burning an excessive amount of oil. I had to put a quart of oil or more about every 500 miles. I put in 1 1/2 quarts on a Wednesday and on a Monday my car began making a loud knocking sound in the engine. Gm will not listen to me and now my car probably needs a new motor. I have babied the car and this is not my fault. Oil is in the car at all times and it should not throw a rod with oil.

2003 Cadillac Cts all I can say is im disgusted with this car nothing but problems. I dont know if that leakeage that is reported on here had something to do with what happened but now I have a car sitting in my driveway which I can't use because it has a loud knocking sound coming from engine. Which most than likely needs replaced which is very expensive can I say first Cadillac and will never buy another one ever. .
