My car was running fine. Then my engine sounded like a loud truck. No warning came. The check engine lite never went on so I stop driving it till it went to the dealership because I was going to have it towed and when I started up the car the engine blew. I bought this car with a lifetime limited powertrain warranty and it covers the engine. The warranty is good for life as long as I own the car and keep up on all maintance at a gm dealership which I did for 8 yrs. The warranty company will not cover the cost of the repair because the dealership that I bought it from closed. I called gm and they will not do anything because they stated I need to go to the warranty company. Nothing states in my warranty if the dealership closes that my warranty is invalued. That is not right I feel that gm should pay the cost of this engine because I believe my check engine lite was faulty.

Tl the contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Cts. While driving various speeds, the check engine, service air bag, and traction control warning indicators illuminated. The car ignition switch would sometimes automatic cut off by itself. I have notified this Cadillac dealer about this car several times, even with the engine sounds like it is about to blow up, I don,t think they believed me because I was upset about a car that the entire car had ben painted inside and out, motor and all, but I quests when something happens , then they will believe me.

Although I loved the car overall at the time I decided to own, , my dream car Cadillac Cts has turned into my dream nightmare. Cadillac Cts 3. 6 2008 when I get on it a little bit acceleration it makes a sound that sounds like all air leaks inside the car. The dealer was reported ever since my first early visit to service center but it's only during my last visit to the dealer they mentioned gm has sanctioned approval ie. At the time the odometer reads 65000km? strange! the door locks are terrible?despite rectifying; time and again by your dealer the problem still persist to date. Safety hazard indeed. The computer had error as for tyre low air pressure very bad on safety standards. On 12th Aug 2012 while I was en-route to the Cadillac service center the vehicle had a break down. On the display screen near odometer it displayed engine temperature too high ?. Due to this I had to pull the car towards safety and got stranded in the middle of the road under the hot sun. How can you justify a car which is regularly maintained by your authorized agency at regular periodic intervals to have such a fate? I felt it was good to have it serviced during my absence in town before the regular km interval; but, only to get stranded on the road in the hot sun. It is indeed, too much to suffer after buying a car of gm flagship brand < Cadillac > and suffer agony on the road side. Not to mention the dealerships warranty you provide with the purchase of the new car from your authorized agents, probably don't fix anything with the warranty service program. If the job was right then the engine should not have over heated especially when the car is just run 71000 kms. Approx. . .

Purrchased car used in 2010. While on a trip east the enine would star revving up during any tyype of accelaration. I called on-star for an analisis of what might be the problem. They ran a report while I was still driving and came back wita diagnosis of low lvel of motor oil. I told them I shhowed a level of over 20% . They said it was ok to drive home but to get an oil change as soon as I got home. This prroblem has persisted ever since,regsrdless of the oil level. I inquied about this problem on the internet and several came back with "this is common for Cadillacs and for me tostart carrying some oil in the trunk bbecause these cars of this date had no oil gauge and therefore the revving noise was the only clue ithis car would give me thar it needs oil. . So I am confused! why is there no oil gauge in this car? expecially when it is equipped with a 3. 6 high performance engine? . I don't know if this is true or not but I have been told that there was a lawsuit filed and right after the company started to install oil gauges in the newer models again. I cannot get any answers from dealers and I would like to know if there has been more of these concerns besides mine and what was the end results if any.
