Air Conditioner Problems of Cadillac SRX

The Cadillac cue system becomes non responsive which does not allow you to control most things which are electronically controlled from that system which is the radio, air conditioning system, and other systems. You do not have to be in motion to use this system. The system developed small cracks all over which start from the corners and the dealership refuses to fix them.

The Cadillac cue (information/navigation/air condition system) developed spider web type cracks inside the screen; this makes it hard to see or use control features. I went online and found hundreds of people are having the same issue. One person has only 19,000 miles and has the web like cracks. It was 90� when I got into my car and saw a few of these cracks (these cracks are smooth to touch on screen), but a week later it's gotten bigger. A source says it's a factory defect, and that the cracks are ther glue or adhesive has dissipated, and is detaching the screen from the actual component. I have 44,000 miles on my vehicle . . . It stays under the carport, but is still having this issue. With so many people complaining and posting pictures on general motors discussion thread, one would think something would've gotten done. As stated before, it was a small line and it's constantly spreading throughout the Cadillac cue screen. The cue system stopped working. This is the touch screen on the dash that controls the heating,air conditioning, radio, navigation and others. Called gm asked if they would pay for the replacement and the answer was no. They went on to say they were sorry for the inconvenience just take it to a gm dealer for repairs. Cost around 1600. 00 dollars. There is no guarantee in one or two years it won't fail again.

Air conditioning system is not cooling properly. Passenger side is somewhat blowing cool air and driver's side is blowing hot air. This is the exact situation that resulted in a recall of 2011 Cadillac Srx. However, this Cadillac Srx was not initially included in the recall and has not been to-date. The safety recall notice is 11057; federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 103. This could potentially cause a serious problem in the winter months when the defrost may not work properly. It is obvious from our research that this vehicle should have been included in the recall as it is the exact same situation as those affected by the recall. We have contacted GMC only to be told that the recalls are very specific. We have tried to explain this situation but have been told that we will have to deal with the selling dealership. However, this is a GMC situation, not a dealership problem. We are very concerned that a car manufacturer only recalls certain vehicles in a given year with a situation and leaves the other vehicles of the same year, make, and model on the road that they arbitrarily decide not to recall that are experiencing the same problems.

Air conditioner froze up and had to be replaced. Had less than 50,000 miles.

Air conditioning system stopped working on a four year-old car. Air conditioner used to defrost and cool interior car. When driving, windows can fog up and diminish visibility. In rainy days and nights, the windows fog up and it is not always safe to roll down window to assist in defogging windows.
