I had baker Cadillac dealership to perform the toe-link recall as well as a multi-point vehicle inspection on may 28, 2025. This is for a 2012 Cadillac Srx-3. 6 luxury collection [VIN: [xxx]] that I was going to purchase for my [xxx] daughter pending the inspection results. Because Cadillac technicians performed the inspection and nothing major was flagged, I purchased the car for my daughter. That evening, I was driving the car to fill up with gas, and the brakes completely cut out! I talked to a friend who knows more about cars than I do, told me the brakes cutting out was likely a result of the recall repair needing to reset to the proper values. I didn't think too much of it after that until 5 days ago when I was on [xxx] driving at 70 mph, the brakes completely cut out again. The road was wet and they cut out as I was exiting off an interstate overpass onto a ramp which circles back toward the direction I was coming from that ultimately feeds onto the road underneath the exit. I fishtailed side to side the entire length of that ramp that has no barriers at a lethal speed which could’ve killed me! if my daughter would've been driving, the outcome would’ve likely been fatal! I contacted the dealership who performed the recall installation and the multi point inspection and told them everything that happened. I wanted answers as to why this wasn't caught during inspection, what exactly caused that to happen twice in less than 10 days, and what needs to be fixed to prevent this from ever happening again. I paid firestone to perform a comprehensive test on abs and they could not replicate the issue, so they couldn't do anything to fix it as everything appeared to be fine. No system lights came on or anything. I have since learned that this is far from an isolated issue; in fact, this is quite a scary pattern with the 2012 Srx 3. 6. My vehicle caught fire while driving it. There was no warning…no engine lights on, no smoking engine. The fire seemed to start behind the dashboard of the passenger side. Less than 5 minutes and the car was completely engulfed in flames. My insurance company said there was too much damage to tell me what caused the fire.

My car was parked and in the park gear it was left running I went to get in the car to turn it off to stay awhile where I was at I got one leg in the car and reached over to push the button to turn it off and it lurched backwards and rolled over me and almost cut my leg off it kept rolling another good 200 ft or more before it stopped and it was still in the park position I read where there's a recall on the transmission on this car but I was injured very badly in this incident I do not know what happened because the car was in park and should not have rolled when I turned it off but it did and rolled over me and knock me down and cut my legs severely.

Recently the liftgate has closed unexpectedly several times while items were being unloaded/loaded from the rear of the vehicle. This caused the user to be struck by the liftgate. Someone smaller or weaker, such as a child could potentially be trapped and injured since the blockage detect function apparently fails at the same time. It has also opened on it's own while the operator was away from the vehicle and out of range of the key fob. Apparently, this is a common issue with the panoramic roof in many Cadillac models leaking water into the rear storage area of the vehicle. The control module becomes immersed in water and begins to perform unreliably, eventually failing complete as it becomes more wet. No warning tones or lamps are activated.

Headlights!!! the headlights are so dim that other drivers flash me, honk at me or yell at me to turn my lights on when driving at night. When driving at night it is the same as driving without my headlights on. I have to use the high beams to drive at night. I changed the fuses, changed 1 of the bulbs and still no difference. Please, we need a recall to fix the headlights. This is a safety issue for me driving at night as well as anyone else on the road who can't see me. Cadillac cue system started with spider veins on screen then stopped working at same time light gate goes up and down on its own when driving very dangerous, sometimes when parked it will go up part way down up again and then close someone walks by might hurt them shame Cadillac will not admit to this mistake on a 50000 car.

Faulty sky light drainage design directs water directly into the rear under deck compartment where the company located electric lift gate equipment the water shorts out the entire electric system. The total loss of power occurring at highway speed could be deadly.

My transmission is sleepin and it only goes to second gear for like 20 min then it won’t move at all.

I am not a mechanic so I don’t know what all I know is what I like I experienced and when I was driving down the road, my Cadillac shut off like it had no power to it no power steering no lights no dash lights no warning lights or nothing pulled over my car will not start back up I had to have it towed when I got home and looked inside the casing around. The battery had melted with a bunch of wires and tubing that was on top of the battery completely melted everything inside.

The manufacturer is procrastinate to fix this life threatening dangerous recall and has been giving me an endless appointments to fix it and each time after I wait for the appointment they call to reschedule. My headlights are so dim, I have to drive with high beams. It is raining in my, short circuited the trunk, will not open and my bearings have to be replaced. Sounds like a truck. Ughhhh, imy first and last american made car.

Low beam on headlights are too dim to see the road after dark. I have to use high beams to see but this may blind on-coming drivers. Don’t see how this is not a safety recall. Seems to be a common problem on these cars. Only had 59,000 miles when I first noticed the problem.

The Cadillac cue infotainment system is malfunctioning. The screen randomly jumps around and changes to different information while driving. Once the back up camera zoomed in and out rapidly while backing up this happened just one time so far. We have looks this up it seems to be a common issue there is a reset fix but it just continues to happen and it seems to the only recourse is to replace the whole thing which of course is expensive. The reason for buying this brand is the supposed "quality" and that has not been the case. When I first bought this specific vehicle which was used but certified I had trouble with the sirius xm radio going in and out and then not functioning at all. I took it back to the dealer they laughed at me and told me it was working fine. I drove away and 5 minutes later it did not work. I spent hours on the phone with sirius. I went to a stereo installer who could figure out nothing, finally sirius xm figured out the antennas on these have two parts and the part need for the the satellite radio was not functioning. I took it back to the dealer and they so kindly split the cost with me to repair this cost me I believe it was $350 that was half. How would you know that test driving because the radio worked. It was not until I transfered my subscription that the problem revealed itself. Cadillac would not stand behind it's product as they are not standing behind these cue infotainment systems. They are expensive and dangerous as I don't feel I can trust the camera anymore.

Opened my back hatch to put groceries in at store, and the hatch opened lifted up and then went up and down then closed on me. Glad I got out of the way in time.

The automatic trunk does not work. I'm unable to open and/or use my trunk. Moon roof does not open airbag light is on vehicle jerks very hard while operating in drive.

I have a 2014 Cadillac Srx awd. My passenger rear tire kept losing air. I looked it over a dozen times and never found anything wrong with it as to why it was losing air. I would put air in it and within 2-3 days, I needed to put air in it again. This went on for a few months at least. Then out of nowhere my driver rear tire started losing air and when that started my passenger tire was holding air. Again, I looked my tire over and no screws or anything. Same thing with my passenger rear, I would have to put air in it every couple days. Just 2 days ago I was putting air in my driver rear tire, I stopped for a minute to check to see how much psi I still needed to go. It was at 30psi so I had a little left to go then bam my tire blew. It wasn't even close to where it needed to be. My fiancé took my tire off and it was badly worn from the inside. I hadn't had these tires for 2 years and they should have lasted another year or 2. My boyfriend told me it was because of the toe links rubbing on them and that I needed adjustable ones. I looked on this website for recalls and according to my VIN number I don't have any recalls even though there has been for these rear toe links for other 2010-2016 Cadillacs. I can't drive my car until this is fixed. I should not have to pay for this myself. What if my tire blew when I was driving down the road with my daughter? I would have lost control of the car. All 2010-2016 Cadillacs should get the toe links replaced with adjustable ones immediately.

Our 2010 Cadillac Srx almost caused an accident. While climbing a hill reduced engine power warning on dash came on and suddenly engine power reduced so much car started rolling backwards into cars behind us.

Squeaking noises in the front end sounds like rubbing also when you were at a stop and you turn the wheel from left to right sounds like a rubbing noise just purchased vehicle at the end of summer used started during the winter.

Oil sensor unit failure causing engine to lose oil. A realproblem.

Rear tires slip when pressing on the gas. The car is in for repair and they said the rear transfer case needed replaced. The car has 94000 miles and is 6 years old. This caused issues when accelerating.

Dim headlamps that are non fixable by installing new lights. . Headlamp assemblies in the 2016 Cadillac Srx suffer from defective seals that allow moisture to accumulate and condense, therefore damaging and dimming the headlight bulbs.

Low beam headlights to dim to drive. . . Very dangerous and gm is aware of the defective headlights.

Rear trunk/hatch lid: I had pressed the switch on the hatch lid to cause closing. At this point my wife walked too close to the closing hatch and it hit her, and continued to close, causing a gash on her forehead. I am of the belief that any contact made by the hatch and a foreign object will cause the hatch to reverse its closing action.

Head light on my 2016 Srx is getting water inside the lens and dimming and burning out the bulbs the temporary fix is to replace the whole light unit at a cost of 3000. 00 with the same defective part that will re-create the issue at a later date. There needs to be a recall on this defected it is not the fault of the consumer and the consumer should not bear the expense of an factory default pp.

The recall on the the toe link adjuster was replaced with a part that does not allow for adjustment of toe in or toe out. As a result, the rear tires had premature wear on the inside tread causing replacement of the tires. The dealer claims the replacement is correct and will not correct the part. The tire store said the part will not allow them to do the alignment to be correct.

Hello, I wanted to let you all know that I have a 2010 Cadillac Srx, to which in the past these type of vehicles had had a transmissions issues, thus recalled. . . Well the vehicle I own, is doing and having the same transmission problem/issues. . . And yet it is not under the recall list. . . The Cadillac dealership, has my car and is wanting to open up the transmission and inspect it for almost 2 thousand dollars( I like on a dissability montly income) . . I had this same car diagnosed at 2 different auto shops , whom provided me with the folllowing 2 error codes p076 and p0700, which are the transmision control solenoid and the transmission control module. . . But back at the Cadillac service dealership , here in amarillo TX. . . They want almos $6000 for a new transmission replacement or half of that for rebuilding the current one. . . When I strongly believe that my car is part of the same recall , being the same model and same similiar transmission issues.

The headlights are too dim to drive at night and with close to zero visibility, this is an extreme hazard. A google search results in thousands of Cadillac Srx owners with the same issue and have called this car a "death trap" and have stated that they almost hit pedestrians. Gm/Cadillac is not taking responsibility and are telling owners that we have to pay $2000 out of pocket for replacing the entire light housing, except the high beams and driving lights work but not the headlights for nighttime driving which is obviously a manufacturing defect. Please hold gm/Cadillac responsible before someone loses their life.

My vehicle screen is starting to shatter . Each day it’s shatter more and more. I hear a thump noise and then the screen shatters more and more. My vehicle has never been in a accident.

The sunroof drain tubes become plugged and if you can actually find someone to fix the error, its horribly expensive. Water enters the vehicle, causing mold on the back seat floors. This issue has also shorted out my trunk release consistent with other individuals reports and when manually released, via the inside hidden panel, it sparks, which is dangerous and shouldnt happen. After a heavy rain, entering the vehicle sounds like a waterfall all around you from inside. I have to constantly keep moisture absorbers inside of my vehicle in a futile attempt to solve the issue.

When I park car in park. . . It says shift to park and I must wiggle gear shifter to get it correctly in park or it rolls if not. . This safety issue happens each time I drive my Cadillac Srx.

I bought a 2012cadillac about a month agoand was told by the dealer that there was no recalls on this car,but when I personally ran the VIN number,it says this car has been recalled and I need to stop driving it because it's dangerous for me to be driving it because it could cause me to crash. This dealer ship also,grossly overcharged me, charging me "several thousand dollars more than the actual listed price". This car also floods my driver side and passenger side floors eachtime it rains. The water is coming in via my sunroof,which is causing my car to smell, and consequently gonna rot out my floor, and perhaps damage my electrical system and god only knows what other damage this water is doing to the integrity of my car. The dealer had me take my car to his mechanic who told me the problem was fixed which was a lie, because two days after he allegedly fixed the water problem, it rained and when I got in my car to go to an appointment. . . My floors were flooded with water again. The dealer who I bought the car from-"arrow motors",told me to take it back to his mechanic. Between this leaking sunroof, and the recall I just found out about. . . I am really upset that this dealer sold me this car that is clearly defective and very unsafe and charged me $17,000. I feel like this guy lied to me and took advantage of me, I asked him several times if there was a recall on this car and he looked me in the eyes and said no. I also asked him if there was anything wrong with this car and again he looked me in the eyes and said no. He had to have known about the recall,and about the problem with the sunroof leaking water inside the car. I only had this car for a month and spent all my money to buy it, but with the current issues, I feel it's not safe for me drive, and poses a serious risk to others too. P. S. Is there anyway I can get my money back,or sue them?.
