This information is addition to the accident, that I reported few days ago. Nhtsa tracking number 11458264. I was involved in car accident on highway i90. My car drove in to concreate barrier and was struck from back by another car. Air bag in my car did not deploy. My head hit steering wheel. I have broken nose. I will need surgery.

Vehicle fire & mold. My 2013 Cadillac Srx had water leaking in/draining incorrectly from the sunroof, which in return pooled water in the front and rear of my vehicle. This water caused my trunk to completely stop operating (water pooled at trunk latch/rusted), as well as water to saturate the electrical components near the front of my car and a fire to itnite while I was driving the vehicle! fire truck responded, pooled water found, mold also found because of previously unknown pooled water, and insurance totaled vehicle. So scary! so disapointed! this leaking water issue has been reported on many forums for the same Cadillac make and model and it threatened my life. The sun roof draining tubes must be recalled. I’m now out of a vehicle because of it and just grateful I was able to exit my vehicle as it filled with smoke.

While driving down the road the sunroof detached causing me to have to grab it to stop from flying off while going 75mph down the highway. And then hold it on while I operated the vehicle to a safer place to duck tape it back down. This caused the sunroof to obviously not operate properly any longer as well obviously. . .

The floor mat does not stay in place and can get jammed behind the break peddle preventing breaking.

There is webbing, delaminated on the touchscreen. It is no longer functioning. Dealership is asking $1700 for replacement. This is something that Cadillac knew and refuses to recall/replace. I cannot afford to replace this. It’s unethical of Cadillac to do something like this. Some type of voucher or assistance would be grateful if Cadillac/gm would step up to the plate and assist with this repair. It’s unacceptable and dangerous.

When it rains my trunk fill with water where my spare tire is without any windows or sun roof being open .

My vehicle is only 5 years old and the Cadillac cue screen has failed. After reading online that it has almost 100% failure rate, it is not part a recall. It is not just the Srx, it is all models of Cadillac and yet gm has done nothing to solve the issue with the replacement screens. After two failed lawsuits against gm, why is the government not stepping in and protecting the consumer for this failed part. $1500. 00 for a replacement with only a two year warranty, says that they anticipate it to fail again.

It’s doing everything they said it would when I need to stop driving it due to recall.

I received a recall # n212340980. The dealership said there is no solution until gm gets parts. My son was driving car and almost had an accident on interstate. I want public knowledge that gm has not come up with the parts and almost killed my son by car going out of control.

I have been having issues with my vehicle stalling and trembling. The stabilitrak message, check engine light, and service traction control message has turned on a couple times when starting the car. On Aug 9th, I received a letter in the mail stating that my car has a safety recall. The same day I called the Cadillac dealership where I bought the car and scheduled an appt to check these issues and advised about the recall letter I received. The dealership scheduled an appt on Aug 31st. On the 31st, I dropped the car off and left it there for two days. On sept 2ns, I called to check on the status of my car, when the service assistant advised that they did not have the part and have to order it and they do not know when they are going to receive it. Nothing was done to my vehicle. I asked if I can leave my car at service and get a loaner and they said they were not lending out any vehicles due to the pandemic. I live 1hour from the dealership. I have been driving for almost a month around with a vehicle that's not safe. The recall letter clearly states that if this vehicle is driven , it can result in a crash. It also states that the parts to repair the vehicle are not currently available. I am not sure what to do or who to contact in this matter as I do not have another vehicle I can rely on. Please advise.

I'm stationed in stuttgart, germany. I received a recall notice in August 2021 and again in November 2021 and reached out to Cadillac to find out how to resolve this issue. I was told that someone from Cadillac would contact me. I received another notice November 2022 due to the recall not being resolved. I'm not getting a response from Cadillac. How do I resolve this issue being stationed overseas? I'm not scheduled to return until February 2025 and the government will not ship a vehicle if there are any recall notices on the vehicle. The gm safety recall is n212340980. Requesting assistance in resolving this recall notice. Thank you.

There is a recall on my vehicle and gm has advised they can't or won't be able to fix it in a timely manner.

Manufacture recalls.

While driving during the last month, the cue system that controls the heating/cooling controls (among other options) turned itself off. Hence, the air conditioning shut off. This may not seem to be a safety issue, but we were driving back from topsail island, nc, to our home in winchester, va and it was 97 degrees outside. After several tries, we were able to get it going again, but it continues to shut itself off unpredictably. I am 70 years old and my husband is 75. We also have a dog who can't tolerate heat. This could be a life-threatening issue for us. We are in the process of getting this replaced, for about $800! my research on the web and info from the dealer indicates that this is a widespread issue. It is deserving of a recall.

Cue screen cracked, bubbled up and touch screen isn’t responded to touch.

Went to work came out and my radio screen was shattered. I called local dealer and they said this was common for radio screens. Why hadn't things been change so screens don't shatter when no one is around??? this car is only 4 years old.

Gm corp/Cadillac issued a recall to the vehicles info center cue screens. They were deteriorating and potential provide false information on the cars message center. Cadillac replaced t he cue screen on the 2014 Srx . The same screen that was replaced is now deteriorated to the point, that after 30 minutes of driving, the screen has become inoperative to the touch and not able to display and current information about the cars condition. This inoperative screen and lack of information creates a distraction and concern about the cars condition. Recall / repair was done under invoice #218494 from autonation Cadillac of west palm bch, fla.

Problem: my 2010 Cadillac Srx with 87,000 miles been having issues with downshifting , my vehicle would not shift to second or higher gear while driving and makes it very unsafe on the road. When this occurs I would try to pull over safely to park. My Srx would be drivable if shifted to park and then shift to drive or if I turn off the vehicle and re-start. I have been back and forth going to my mechanic( s). I was told possible tcm issues but no definite diagnosis. I have been reading a lot of 2010 Srx owners on Cadillac forums with exact similar issues and decided on making this official to report to NHTSA hoping it would open an investigation and figure out the defect on this type vehicle. My vehicle issue or problem started to become symptomatic around year 2021 and my Srx has around 63,000 miles on it. I keep up with the regular scheduled maintenance and upkeep, the Srx looks like new and would like to keep it longer as the rest of the vehicle is kept it's appearance and other parts well. I have reported this issue directly to the main contact number @Cadillac company and they told me my vehicle VIN is not included on the safety recall with shifting issues and offered me a $100. 00 for repair coupon instead for future repairs. I have spent thousands of dollars fixing the unidentifiable issue whenever the engine light comes on and throws out a code but my downshifting problem continues.

My elderly mother has a 2014 Cadillac Srx. While the vehicle was parked, the center information radio cue system screen cracked all of sudden. I am unable to use or see the cue system and afraid to touch the screen, so that I will not cut my hand or get injured. There was no warning that the screen had cracked. Since the incident first happened the cracking has gotten so much worst. I had my my mother take the vehicle to the dealer, to figure out why this happened, they informed me that the cost to replace the entire cue system would cost over $1200, and it was nothing that they could do, and that they have never seen this happen before. The vehicle only had approximately 43,000 miles on it when this happened. This is extremely unacceptable. TSB: pic6055c (electrical: radio/tape deck/cd).

The rear lift gate opens randomly. Parked in the garage, it opens. Out shopping parked in a lot and return to car and it's open. Parked in driveway, it opens. It happens whenever and wherever. When I notice the lift gate has opened, I close it and check it 20 minutes later only to find it open again.

4 Mar 2021 passenger side front wheel bearing failed while returning home from anniversary trip with 37,733 miles on our Srx. Dealer stated that Srx was out of warranty due to time after purchase. 5 July 2021 passenger side rear wheel bearing failed while returning home from family trip with 40,003 miles on our Srx. Called Cadillac customer care and received a case number. Immediately received an email stating that she was my customer advocate and would get back to me within 3 working days (email is attached). No one has ever contacted me. I have contacted ccc on four different occasions with a promise every time that someone would get back to me within 48-72 hours. No response. I have not been discourteous to any of the customer care personnel and therefore, have no idea of why they do not respond to me, even if it was a denial. I get the impression that this problem may be greater than they want to acknowledge and they are hoping that I will just go away. I will not, this is more about principal at this point than money. Can you provide me guidance on what to do next, or can you assist in obtaining a response to my case?.

Passenger headlight has water inside, headlight dimmed, can't see on one side of car, driving can't see at night.

This vehicle has a design flaw with sunroof which leaks water into the car from floor board passenger side. Sunroof drain lines undersized even for a standard sized sunroof. As of result of this, the drain lines, at best are barely adequate for light rain and intense rain cloggs and rain enters the car. I have taken to dealer twice paid $651. 00 repair and not fixed. Dealer should have correct information to repair the drain issue. Cadillac of novi, service manager will not return phone calls. Very poor service for a luxury product.

I bought my vehicle 6 months ago. I never owned a Cadillac and I really love it but there isn't alot of leg room in the back seat and its hard to see the turn signal lights being 6'4 the way the window is shaped I have to hunch to the side and look up. My main problem is the touch screen from the cue applications. It doesn't register my touch so I have to go through the steering wheel buttons to change anything. My vehicle only has 56,000 miles on it I don't think something like that should go out that fast. I have read other owners stating the same thing. There should be a recall on this cause s person shouldn't have to go through the steering wheel buttons when there is a touch screen to do that. I think we should have the newest software available or put a new updated version instead of the one that was first put out. Thanks for your attention in this matter.

Low vision head lights are not bright enough for night driving have to use high beams?.

While driving my Srx through downtown area, I was attempting to make a turn and it suddenly wouldn't steer in the direction I wanted it to and when I attempted to hit the brakes it dived directly into a brick wall and all four airbags deployed and car was declared as total loss.

Touch screen has developed a spider web that makes the touch screen useless. This screen was replaced while under warranty at 50,000 miles. I now have 103,000 miles and was told to replace this would be $1000. After checking online many owners have had the same problem. Obviously an issue with this year and model of the caddilac Srx.

My drains for my sun roof are not working, water all on passenger floor, mechanic said there was a recall on this some years ago and was wondering if the recall was still active ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.

While I'm driving my driver seat moves forward and my brake and gas pedal do as well. It happens no matter if I'm on a highway or street and when I'm driving straight not sure if it happens while turning. Doesn't matter what speed I'm going either. Haven't crashed. Nothing indicating something wrong on dash.

Rear lift gate is automatically closing, and doesn't stay open. I've been injured by this & have pictures of my bruises. I wasn't able to stop the lift gate from closing & was pinned in my trunk. This is very dangerous! I've read about similar situations on line. I'm very surprised there isn't a recall about this.

Shift to park error-car not registering when in park. System display says "shift to park" after moving shift control to the park position. Will not allow me to safely shut down/turn off vehicle. Has happened a couple of times now while stationary in parking lot and in my garage. I am not sure if car is actually in park or not and am afraid vehicle will roll. Has happened a few times, the first few times I could jigge the shift control and it would clear the error. Now I have to reboot my system to shut the car down.

Engine light appeared on and off. Vehicle was taken to the mechanoc for diagnostic. Codes appeared for timing chains and camshaft. Also z.

I was taking things out of my reach hatch, and it suddenly fell on me without warning, hurting my back and almost trapping me, if my wife was not present, I could not have lifted the hatch . My chest and back hurt and I could have suffocated.
