Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that there was excessive water entering the cabin of the vehicle from the sunroof drainage lines. The contact stated that due to the moisture from the water in the cabin of the vehicle, the defroster became inoperable. The contact also stated that the trunk release button also became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact stated that the sunroof drain lines were cleaned and replaced however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000. Ah.

I had problems with this car every since the moon roof drain which is a recall now car was flooded brought it to dealer got it back it was even worse the changed the drain again sine then it has been in the dealer at least 20 times radio goes up and down rear lights stay on battery dead in the morning every light you can imagine one time or another from air bags to no key fab was serviced they flash the pc 3 times tried to contact Cadillac early response team ran me around for 2 years had my attorney call then they would not give him address for legal dept and hung up on him . On 8/22 /2015 I opened the rear hatch as I always do with the fab I went to get something out the rear hatch came down pushed me to the ground hitting me in my neck which I had surgery 18 years ago the rear hitch continued to go up and down . It goes up stays for few seconds the comes down fast half way and goes up and down. Cadillac send a investigator to my home and he could not get the hatch to stay up I have bought since 1975 over 25 Cadillacs and dulley pickups over the years you would think they would have treated me better needless to say since this started I have bought 4 mercedes benz and have to say what a difference .

7/24/15 had sunroof serviced for recall. Interior wet moldy,even hat in seat web. 7/26/15 could not open rear lift gate. . Dealer could repair for half rhe $1,200 cost,since the mileage was over 4 year warranty but had less than 48,000 mi. Could hear water after any rain. Dealer admitted problem with sunroof was cause,but not covered. Other fuses also located in rear block,fuel pump,wiper,rear windows. . Cannot open lift gate even manually. So no access to spare,etc. Called Cadillac customer care many times ,but they will not admit an obvious safety and design defect. Nor has ther been any advice not to operate or park during rain,or how to prevent further damage.

Since oct. 2014 I have had issues with the"stability system" to be serviced yet it works??? the hood hasn't ever stayed up which had been a pain being starting a couple months ago the battery starting having issues in the cold weather. Something is draining it and I don't know from where.

Rear hatch automatically opens when I'm driving, when my vehicle is parked and locked, and also when my vehicle is on but idling either in a car wash, stop light, or stopped in traffic. This occurs randomly and sometimes the hatch will not shut until I turn off the car.

We were stopped at a traffic light, when the engine made a very loud, harsh noise and began racing at a high rev. Even with brakes fully applied, we were propelled into the intersection; tried to jamb the gear shift into neutral, but could not in time. We were struck from the left front and the vehicle was knocked onto the right side. Minor injuries, treated and released at the emergency room. Vehicle was totaled.

Pushed button to raise the rear hatch and hatch raised to the upper limit then quickly swung down , up to the full open position , swung down and up again wildly on its own and finally slamming closed with-enough force that it was unstoppable. . . . . Would have crushed a pet or child. There was no obstruction safety stop whatsoever.

Driver door latch stays in the open position, preventing the door from latching closed. After sitting for a while, over night or a few days, door will latch closed again. This is a interment problem. Concerned will occur while driving as it appears to be effected by the electric lock system. Checked on web several others have had this problem also.

The hood does not stay up on it's own. I have to use a stick to prop it open.

Water drain from moon roof separated and water fluid ed the vehicle short in out many components. Took in for service had to pay $1900. This should have been coverd I feel that this repair should have been completed at no cost to me. Being that there were at least five other vehicles in the same dealer repair shop at the same time. Spoke to the technician repairing the car before mine and was told he knew actually what the problem was. He showed me that the drain tube came from the factory pulled to short and tight and when there is a heavy rain the run off caused the tubing that run down the front windshield end pillars to separate which then leads to water filling the interior cabin of the vehicle, in between the doors, over the dash and it's interior components, down into the lift gate and onto the interior flooring which it had and flooding it.

Tl- the contact owns a 2011 caddilac sr-x. The contact stated that the service rear axle warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was determined that there was a defect with the rear axle. The vehicle was repaired however the problem recurred. The failure occurred on 10 separate occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle failure mileage was 50,000. Kh.

It was a very pleasant Friday, October 4, 2013 at approximately 4pm. My sister and I were headed to petersburg, va from charlotte, nc. With only 50 miles to go on 85n we both heard what sounded like an extremely loud and close gun shot. I was driving and she was sleeping. It woke her up and scarred both of us to death. Not knowing what just happened she started looking around. The next thing we heard was glass breaking and falling on to the sunroof liner of the car. Luckily we were only a mile from a rest area. I pulled over, got out of the car, opened the back door to stand on the inside to be able to see on top and was in total shock at what I saw. One section of my sunroof had been broken. My car has a panoramic sunroof with two separate panels. The back panel was shattered into millions of tiny fragments. The glass continued to break and fall on to the liner. Small pieces managed to get through onto the back seat. I did the best I could in cleaning up the pieces. I called a state trooper and made a report, I called my insurance company and also onstar. I spent the weekend with no sunroof because the Cadillac service dept in va is not open on the weekend. It was a horrible experience being that I purchased my car on Tuesday and this happened on Friday. It's been a week and a half since I dropped my car off to be repaired and I can finally pick it up on tomorrow. I won't complain because it could have been worse, I am truly blessed.

I was pulling in to a parking space at a local mall. As I turned my wheel my vehicle took off and I lost all control. The brakes were applied and the car wouldn't stop. Within a few seconds my vehicle hit 3 other parked vehicles pushing one in to another. I believe I had then experienced sudden acceleration. Three vehicles were towed away including mine. No tickets were issued.

Time lag when car is at a hill stop or fwd gear hesitation from coming off hill or rxr crossings, would roll backward from coming out of brake to gas pedal like no pwr response from eng.

Automatic rear door opened after I closed it; consequently I unknowingly rammed in to the garage door as I backed out of my garage and afterward it continued to open as I tried to close it. This is not the first time this has happened. A few months ago on vacation the bell hop was helping to pack my luggage and the door kept trying to shut on him (3x), it nearly crushed him. This recent incident did serious damage to the vehicle and minimal damage to the garage door.

The chrome overlay on the inside door handle seperated from the base metal of the door handle exposing a sharp edge on the inner side of the door handle, which cannot be readily visible until you pull on the handle when trying to open the door from the inside. The chrome overlay peeled up slightly exposing a sharp edge of the chrome that could cut the hand. The part is not a very expensive part, and the incident is not a major incident, but the seperated chrome overlay could cause slicing of the hand or finger when trying to open the door. It seems to be a quality issue.

The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that while entering the rear of the vehicle, the rear hatch back door struck the contact¿s arms, resulting in injury. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 100 and the current mileage was 800.

The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the rear door latch failed and would sporadically open independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who replaced the rear door latch. There were no recalls for the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 56,000.

2 problems continue to persist. One is the location of the hood release handle near the floor inside left side, where the driver puts his left foot on the floor while driving. Moving the foot back, the left sole edge will catch the handle and release it causing the hood to pop up to the safety catch. At high speeds I'm afraid of the safety catch failing allowing the hood to pop open causing an accident. Secondly; this vehicle has too many blind spots that can easily cause a serious accident. The roof post between the drivers door and rear passenger is a good example of what I mean. A vehicle can be almost along side of you, out of site and you wont see it unless you turn your head around almost looking backwards. The mirror does not pick up the vehicle untill it's nose is by my door. That move creates another problem of hitting some one up ahead. I have not notified the dealer because I don't expect they will do any thing; from past experience I know. Car was purchased at otto Cadillac albany, NY.

Right and left turn singles have gon out 6 to 7 times sence I have owned the car. When they are replaced they only last a few weeks. My dealers sates that the plugs need replaced. I have heard that this affects 2004 through 20009. With large number I think it should be recalled. 30% of all accidents are caused by not using or faulty turn singles. The dealer charges $200. 00 to replace the bulbs per side.

I was driving on the highway at 55 mph, when a loud pop noise from the rear happened. My vehicle spinned out of control several times in a circle before hitting a median barrier. I had the problem fixed in March 2014. . . The same problem happened again on 4/7/2014, except I didnt hit a median.
