Failure Date: 09/12/2008

I purchased a 2000 2wd chevy Blazer. When it rains alot. When it rains I get a puddle in the back floor and it leaks all the way to the front of the vehicle. There should be some type of recall for this. I have to use the wet vac to clean this up every time. The other item when it rains is sometimes the Blazer will not even start. It is like if the car has to dry before it can start and stay on.

5 Frame And Members problem of the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 01/01/2001

I have contacted Chevrolet and they will not assume responsibility for the frame weld failing. They acknowledge the vehicle is unsafe to drive, but offer no remedy other than replacing the frame at my own expense. They could not provide me with a cost to do this type of replacement. I feel this is a potential safety issue effecting other owners. I would like to see Chevrolet take responsibilty for what is obviously a manufacturing defect. I realize the vehicle is out of warranty because of miles, but it is a 2 year old vehicle which a reasonable person should expect the frame to last beyond that time.
