1 Structure problem of the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 06/07/2025

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v433000 (parking brake); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and diagnosed that the windshield was not installed properly and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that while raining, water leaked into the vehicle through the windshield onto the dashboard. The contact stated that the seal had detached on the passenger’s and driver’s sides of the vehicle. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shifted into park(p). The vehicle had to be turned off and restarted to shift out of park(p). The failure had occurred while driving, idling, and while parked. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer also discovered that the hood of the vehicle and the windshield were not flush, causing a slight detachment. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

2 Structure problem of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 04/02/2024

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that they began to notice the grill at the front of their vehicle begin to flake slowly over time. The flakes had grown to the size of a dime. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the contact was advised that the dealer would cover half of the cost to replace the grill. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue.

3 Structure problem of the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 06/16/2006

- while driving the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer through a car wash, water began to enter the front driver's side door. On another occasion, while driving with the windows up, the contact could feel the wind as if the windows were open. A mechanic stated that this occurred frequently in this model truck. The contact feared that the doors will open and he will fall off the vehicle while driving.

4 Structure problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Blazer

Failure Date: 02/01/2005

Serious and dangerous design flaw. Spare tire is exterior mounted at rear of vehicle in such a position that rear vision is obstructed by about 75%. If the rear seats head rest was up, there would almost be 100% vision loss. Also, if and when backing up, the consumer was unable to see if vehicles, objects, or pedestrians were behind the vehicle.

Consumer states that lug wrench that is located between the passenger's front rear seat has a long piece of iron sticking out that can be very dangerous. The wrench became detached, and was flying around in vehicle like a bullet.
