Car has new engine and transmission everything is new and well maintained, p2138 pops up throttle quits working causing me to almost wreck into another vehicle, I was stuck in traffic 1 hour waiting for a tow truck, 7 shops have worked on the issue and replaced every part including all the technical service bulletins provided here on the site and car is still doing the same thing. The electric system in the car is prone to these issue as is the ecm . Now it's either sell the car to someone with it being unsafe or spend another couple grand hoping to get it repaired. Chevys drive by wire system is a known issue with these cars yet no recall, why, why not recall and repair the issue or is our safety not a issue.

I was driving down the freeway when I suddenly heard a knock coming from the motor. The engine blew a rod almost immediately. Parts and debris started shot out of the bottom of the vehicle. The debris hit my tires, causing me to swerve. I was ultimately able to maintain control of the vehicle and get off the freeway. My vehicle had to be towed.

Shudder in the transmission. My Camaro shudders between 40 and 50 mph. It had a recall and was taken in for the repairs. It was a transmission fluid flush and a change in the fluid. Something like that. The problem is shudder isn't fixed it was for a while but its back. There's definitely something still wrong with this. Is it causing the car more damage? I believe gm should repair all the recalled vehicles right! this is an issue and a huge nuisance. Shudder problem is still there!.

This vehicle is having issues that no chevy repair place is able to recognize or fix. I can not drive this vehicle due to safety concern.

The vehicle has been taken to the shop 3 times, for service rear axle issue. Now has a power steering fault code which when it came on made the car hard to control luckily I was only going 20 mph. The car looses power as well.

Engine began to shudder as if the engine wants to turn off. It can also feel as if there is some issues with the drive axles. It leads to loss of power of the engine. The loss of power goes away upon shutting the engine off and turning it back on however the check engine light remains on and the error code p0420 displays on the reader.

My 2010 Camaro has the 3. 6 v6 engine in it. I had no warning lights or issues with the car. I got in my car and started to drive on a highway the engine exploded on me and I swerved out of control luckily being able to stop the car on the right side of the road. I had the car towed to my house where it sat for months unable to be driven. I have been doing more and more research trying to figure out why it blew up. Me and my passenger could have died that day with how badly the force of the engine through the car out of control. And the chunks of steel that flew from under my car almost killed 2 kids in a car behind me. And upon talking to an associate who is a gm certified mechanic but he doesn't work for a dealership his diagnosis was the timing chain went bad prematurely and snapped and set off a chain reaction making the motor explode. During my time researching I have discovered this issue is already known by general motors for this engine having premature timing chain wear down. I have pictures of other 2010 Camaro owners complaints of this issue. I also am aware gm has faced several class action law suits due to this issue. They put a recall out on the engine but specific VIN numbers. So when I called gm customer service asking why I can't get my car repaired and my engine replaced they told me it was due to not being a VIN number they included in the recalls even though they are aware it is the same engine. The recall should be for all VIN numbers for this engine. My safety as well as others safety was put at risk for a known defect. This issue could happen to anyone with this engine and people could be killed due to it and those that survive the situation when it arises get left without a working vehicle. Vehicle shakes badly when it wants to stalls without any symptoms. All of a sudden the car makes metal rod knocking and scraping sounds I checked oil and it was gone. No oil leaks fresh oil metallic color in engine oil. Just financed this vehicle 2011 chevy Camaro with 50,000 miles and don’t have a warranty. A car engine should not seize out of the blue at low miles and no oil pressure light indicated low or no oil. Very dangerous I lost acceleration going up hill and totally stalled. This needs to be fixed and recalled especially oil pressure light should of illuminated.

My 2010 chevy Camaro has a check engine light for a code p0008 which is an engine preformace bank 1 code. It is affecting my acceleration. I have noticed with other general motors vehicles that have the 3. 6l v6 have thrown this code for a timing chain issue around 100,000 miles and I belive other makes and models have been recalled for this issue and was concerned that it could be unsafe. I also wanted to know why this has not already been recalled on this make and model but has on others. If you could look in to this that would be great. Thank you.

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where they were unable to duplicate the failure. After the most recent failure, the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it remained in their possession. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but received no additional assistance. My vehicle dies while going 60 mph or at red lights, creating a dangerous situation in traffic or on the highway. At times when yielding it feels like I've been hit by another vehicle from behind, the transmission does not downshift normally, and the TSB (see attached) proves that general motors knew about this issue and did not notify customers or recall the vehicle for repairs. I have 2 issues with my vehicle and both issues remain unresolved even after utilizing the power train warranty. My vehicle was taken to the dealership for repairs multiple times, the "check engine" light was on the vehicle, no one checked it, and general motors did not honor its power train warranty obligations, "the defects remain unresolved". My vehicle is dangerous to operate, I have tried working with general motors to arrive at a solution, "but I should not be forced pay additional expense for issues general motors knew about a, issued TSB's warning dealerships, and made no effort to notify customers. I am reporting this issue to the ntsb before providing a 30 day notice of intent to sue, to general motors.

There is a burning oil smell, that is so pungent it causes nausea and burning of the eyes when driving the vehicle. Have taken it to 2 separate dealerships, the first told me they could not find an oil leak and I would have to deal with it. The second dealership stated that it is a valve on the back of the motor and that there is nothing they can do about it. I was told not to roll down the windows and to leave recirculate on. Called and spoke to gm directly and they state take it to a third dealer and they denied my request to send a master tech to check the vehicle. I am left with driving a car that leave me nauseated and is a possible hazard to drive.

This is the second time that my "serivce stabilitrak" along with the traction light has gone off and the engine light blinks constantly, within less than a 6 month period. I paid almost $900, with a dealership coupon, at grieco chervolet in fort lauderdale, florida, for the exact same problem, less than 6 months ago; now the same issue occurred today, on my way to work. Uncontrollable shaking and speed. I see lots of complaints for this issue on this website, so I am not sure how there is not a safety recall for this vehicle. No one seems to take this concern seriously, until deaths are reported, I suppose. Shameful! this car is going to cause an injury or fatality, if some agency does not look into this concern, that many chervy Camaro owners, are reporting.

Cylinder 6 fuel injector failed at 23,800 miles and this part is not covered under power train warranty. It's a $900 repair!.

The dealer also informed the contact that the cylinder head might need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. When I go to put gas in my car when I go to start it . It doesn't wanna start the car will turn over and sputter and won't start you turn it off and it will still be sputtering on it's on with the ignition off than after min it stops than u go to crank it again does same but you haft to put the peddle to floor to get it to level out you can't pump gas running it makes a wired noise from the the gas tank . . . It is at gas stations when this happens and sometimes on highway will sputter . . . Even sitting a red lights . . . Driving.

On August 17, 2019, I purchased a certified pre-owned 2015 Chevrolet Camaro from chapman Ford of horsham. The certified pre-owned Chevrolet Camaro that I purchased is defective and does not conform to the manufacturer and dealer express and implied warranties. The vehicle is currently located at chapman Chevrolet in philadelphia due to the vehicle suddenly shutting off without warning while my husband was driving in traffic on the highway. The technician who diagnosed the problem determined that the cause was due to a large pre-existing water leak from a hose detaching from the sunroof that is located in the trunk corroding the wiring and causing electrical system damage that existed prior to my purchase of the vehicle. When I purchased the vehicle, the mileage was 29,883. The current odometer reading of the vehicle is less than 34,000 miles. This is clearly a design and safety defect that endangered my husband's life, as well as mine, and could have resulted in the car catching on fire or causing a crash. This defect of the car has substantially impacted my ability to use the vehicle and its value. The defect has also rendered the vehicle unsafe for use. We have been told that once the vehicle is repaired the hose located in the trunk can detach again without us knowing and water would be able to leak into the electrical system. I was driving my car, speed about 45 then it slowed down to about 20 and then a sign came on saying engine power reduced. I was going 5 minutes up the road to a gas station.

All factory maintenance was completed at a factory service provider, on or before recommended time/mileage. At 58k+/- miles driving at approximately 35mph engine suffered catastrophic failure due to timing chain failure, causing engine to seize, car lost all power steering, power brakes while entering a turn resulting in nearly running over pedestrians otherwise walking safely on the side of the street. Gm has recalled other vehicles with same engine but not the v6 Camaro for a timing chain failure.

Engine code p008, timing chain replacement required at 75,000 mile, approximately a $2000 replacement cost, many other vehicles with the exact same engine has had recalls for this problem, check engine does not allow this vehicle to pass California smog, registration of the vehicle cannot be completed, local dealers not helpful, engine could seize if the timing chain assembly fails cause accidents resulting in injury or death.

I purchased my 2017 camero with only 36 miles on it. The vehicle has been back to the dealership several times for maintenance within the first year of me purchasing the vehicle. It has been twice for the vibration of the transmission. At first they told me it was a issue with the tires. I ended up purchasing new tires, however the problem still persisted. I took the vehicle back to the dealership and they finally stated that it was a issue with the transmission fluid and they had to wait on gm to send some to the dealership. The most recent issue I have with my 2017 camero is that the stability track light came on, this caused my car to cut off while I was driving it. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership. The dealership stated they repaired the stability track issue but I need a new engine or to have the engine rebuilt. The dealership stated a code#2 cylinder misfire internal code displayed. The dealership stated that a new engine would cost me around $8900. 00 plus labor. They stated to rebuild it it would be over $10,000. 00. They stated my warranty was up at 60,000 miles and that there is nothing that they or gm can do to to assist me. This is the first car that I have ever purchased and it 's unthinkable that a engine goes out on a car with 70,000 miles on it. I also kept up with my regular scheduled maintenance . I don't know what to do.

P008 code. Timing chain issues. If this fails and the engine seizes while driving,all of us Camaro owners could be in accidents. Death could even occured. I bought my 2010 Camaro February of 2016. I'm am the 2nd owner and only put 66k miles on the engine. 85% to and from work. I've replaced everything possible to get rid of the p008 code but it's still there. You have recalled other vehicles with this issue why not us Camaro owners? please help is!.

When I am driving or when I start my car every two weeks or so many miles the engine light will come on. After driving so many miles or a day later the engine light will go back off. This has happened 10 times since purchasing the car. I am taking it to the dealership on Monday to figure out why this may be happening. This is $150 just to get a diagnostics test done. I have had a diagnostics test done on the car previously when this first happened for free at an auto store. It threw the p0024 cam shaft code. I'm anxious to figure out what's happening.

Car jerking when shifting at any gear, seems like transmission going out. When speeding it feels like shaking. Havent had the car a whole year yet smh. . . . Got a transmission flush done but problem came right back. . . Chevy says everyone is having the same problem but since no recall has been issued its nothing they can do.

This is a big safety hazard as it could've happened on the highway. In order for the car to drive again, the car had to be put in park, turned off, and restarted. Takaya recall-for the last 2 1/2 years I've been having issues on & off with my stabilitrak system causing my engine light to come on and car to jerk while the car is changing gears. It jerked so hard the last time it almost caused me to hit someone in the back. This issues happens for a day or 2 then stops for months & comes up again. I've brought it to GMC twice and they could not figure it out because it stops by the time I bring it to them & no code shows up. This issues starts while in motions & continues while driving regardless if I'm on a street, highway pr turning. This issues is definitely a safety hazard and can cause a bad accident to happen.
