3 Loud Engine Noise problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 02/23/2008

After several weeks of check engine light going on and off I decided to have the truck checked out. After dealer ran history, stated that I needed to bring truck in for a head issue. After having the truck for three days, dealer notified me that they put engine back together and got it fired but was losing compression on the #1 cylinder. Then the engine was making very loud noises. After tearing engine back down, then noticed the exhaust valve was stuck in the down position, while the piston was going in the up position, it broke the piston in pieces and broke the valve. The dealer contacted gm as to what to do. Gm is sending a new engine to replace the blown engine. There is only 25,000 miles on the truck.
