1 Underhood Wiring problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 09/20/2006

The wiring harness and the resistor pack for the hvac burns and is melted and could possibly cause a fire. This is not just an electrical hvac problem. It is a grounding problem, and causes all kinds of problems. The hazard lights, blinkers, and stop lights all stopped working on my truck. Most of the dash would go out intermitly. The aux plugs stopped working. I had replaced the battery, wiring harness and resistor pack twice. General motors knows about this problem. It also affects the GMC canyon, and the isuzu I-280 pick-up trucks. There should be a recall to correct this problem before someone is killed. No brake lights, no turn signals, fire/smoke in the cab, etc.
