While driving I would hear rattling noises coming from under the vehicle. I took it to a repair facility and it was discovered that a propeller shaft bolt inside the torque tube assembly came lose and damaged the bearing inside the torque tube. It is my understanding that this could have caused the transmission to freeze/fail, lose control and cause an accident. I had to have the entire torque tube assembly removed and replaced. This occurred one week after the expiration of gm's five year drivetrain warranty.

The car has never been hit or any type of property damage. The Corvette has very loud rattles coming from the transmission. It can be heard 45 feet away from the car. Chevy is stating it's normal adn are ignoring all complaints because they don't want to deal with it. The dealer has given me a note from gm justifing the excessive noise. Website (service. Gm. When initially moving the vehicle at 1000 rpms manual transmission made a terrible rattle noise. Dealer stated that was the way the manual transmission was designed.
The transmission made a loud noise.
The manual transmission makes "marbles in a can" type noises. The transaxle was replaced at 465 miles for excessive noise. The noise is back, I have taken it back into the dealer numerous times over the last year for this and the dealer now says it is normal and refuses to do anything about it. I have elevated this to Chevrolet Corvette owner assistance but with no resolution.
