I have had to change multiple parts relating to the cooling system of this vehicle. The plastic parts have each melted and required replacement. Upon research, many others have had similar issues. My vehicle continues to over heat, and parts continue to need replacement.

Partsdirect price with shipping $7. 00 !!!, I reelly got the shaft on that 1 !! on star cover unglued & fell off,, other than all this, it is the most fuel efficient motor vehicle I have ever owned. . I have gotten as much as 54mpg highway,, on a test of 1 ,10th of a gallon(=12. 8oz) 9miles, their is a secret to getting this milage, these replacements have occured over the course of 4. 5years, 168000miles. Repairs totalling with tires, oil changes, etc. $5200. 00,eye opener,jaw dropper.

3 Engine Cooling System problem

Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the steering wheel was extremely tight causing the contact to have to apply force in order to steer the vehicle. After the repairs were completed, the contact noticed that the power steering harness had been chewed and felt that the engine was no longer protected since the engine cover was removed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the power steering harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,535. The current mileage was approximately 6,000.

They have completely removed the whole center section of this shield so now my engine is exposed to road spray. This was a selling point on this vehicle and I feel we have been cheated out of this feature. They should have offered to replace it with a non combustible unit.

6 Engine Cooling System problem

The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer to have (NHTSA campaign id number:12v288000 engine and engine cooling) performed, however the dealer cut the engine shield cover and advised the contact that the manufacturer had requested to do so in order for the engine oil to leak to the ground.
