I have a 2013 chevy Cruze 1. 4l turbo. The past month or so when I am driving on an incline or hill it loses power and the traction control light and stability control light comes on and the check engine light flashes. About a week ago I was coming home from class and my car lost power and almost got smashed by a semi and today it lost power and almost got rear ended. Have had several mechanics look at it and they can find the problem.
Check engine light came on I paid out of pocket for 3 different diagnostics for them to say they fixed it and still have this problem. Car goes in stability track and reduced engine power wont drive over 5mph this is the same problem I see numerous other people with this car are complaining about why are you guys not investigating or recalling this engine because it's clearly a manufacturer issue.

While driving in the city street the check engine light came on and started flashing. The traction control light came on followed by a message in the dashboard stating stabilitytack was not working. The vehicle then began shaking and was not able to shift gears properly. The rpm was having to rev harder than usual to keep the vehicle up to speed. I had to pull over to the side of the street and turn the car off. Neither idling or shutting of the vehicle helped with the problem.
The car is a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze lt that was just purchased from a used car dealer and within the first week the engine retards itself and throws a check engine light. The code reads p0325 when read. The wiring has been checked out and has nothing wrong. The knock sensor has been replaced twice. After being replaced, the code will go away anywhere from a few minutes to a month and then the same issue starts all over again.

The traction control light as well as check engine light came on. With no prior issues, just out of the blue. The car shakes when driving. It happened 6pm last night, no issues beforehand. Its parked out front on the street where I live.
Engine unexpectedly stalled when braking for neighborhood stop sign. Lost power steering and engine power but did not lose power to gauges or accessories. No check engine light or other warning lights or messages on dash. Put car in park and restarted engine. Normal start. Turned onto major city street and drove half mile. Started braking for traffic light but didn't come to full stop because light turned green. Engine stalled again. Same exact thing and again no warning lights on dash. Felt like a sitting duck and very scared of getting rear-ended. Luckily no one was behind me. Turned on emergency flashers, put in park, and restarted engine. Again started normally. Remained in right lane and was very fortunate that I worked just down the street and didn't have to make any additional stops along the way. Parked car and refused to drive it home that night because I felt the vehicle was unsafe to drive. Had car towed to dealership the next morning. When I tried to start vehicle to move it into a towing position, the engine tried to start but stalled within a few seconds. Occurred 4 times in a row. Still no warning lights on dash. Unable to accompany tow company to dealership due to covid restrictions, but called dealership and told them what had happened. They diagnosed it as a failed fuel pump. They still have the car (4 business days later). The car only has 37,000 miles on it (very low mileage to have a failed fuel pump). I never let it go below 25% full tank. It's a diesel, so I can't control fuel quality. This is the third time I've had a fuel system issue with this car in the two years that I've owned it (bought new) - very inconvenient. Other two times were also failed fuel pump or filter, but with corresponding check engine lights and/or symptoms. This time was without warning and made me feel very unsafe. I really love this car, but am now scared to drive it.

The car will be stopped at a red light or a stop sign, the car will be idling for seconds start shuddering then stall out in the middle of traffic then the check engine light will turn on. We then have to shut the car off with the key, cycle it then turn the car back on.
64,000 miles, car started sputtering, service stabilitrac and check engine lights came on. Dealership said piston ring broke and scored the cylinder wall beyond repair. Need to replace engine.
The check engine light went on and I paid $940. 00 to try to fix the problem. The problem was not fixed and the quote to fix the problem was estimated to be approximately $2,000. 00. I can drive the car, but I will not pass the OH emissions test until it is fixed.
While my son was driving the car on the highway the engine started to smoke. He pulled over and turned off the car. He waited 10 mintues and started the car to head back home. When he arrived home liquid was leaking out the car and the car had smoke coming from the engine. At this time the check engine light was on. Gm had sent a recall notice in the mail (n202299080), a couple of days prior. I called them on Monday and they told me to take it to a dealer. I called the local chevy dealer and told them about the recall notice. He told me to bring it in. I called a tow truck driver and left the car at the chevy dealer. Ater they had the car for two weeks, they explained that it will be $2000 to fix the vehicle, even though there are currently 4 recalls on the vehicle. I called gm several times to ask how are they going to rectify this, with no call-back. The vehicle is still at the chevy dealership.
Code p1101 sitting in a parking lot in check engine light came on within 24 hours of buying the car.

The check engine light keeps coming on and the code reads as a problem with the oxygen sensor (which has been a recall on other chevy Cruze models). Our specific VIN number hasn't been associated with the recall but we are having the same issue.

This issue has been ongoing since last year. I have been getting messages on my dash with errors such as service traction control/service stabilitrak. The car slows down to 5 speed and it stalls /jerk when driving. This is not safe and I almost got into an accident because of it. This vehicle is not safe. Took my car to the dealership for a diagnosis check and was told nothing showed up but a low battery. I got that fixed and the car is still having the same issue. When driving on the highway/streets/expressways when all of a sudden my car decelerated and I got the message engine power has been reduced/service traction control/service stabilitrak as well as my check engine light came on. Because of this, I was forced to pullover while almost being hit by other vehicles. This was extremely dangerous and scary for me because I have no idea what happened and it could have cost me my life, as well as others. I have taken the vehicle to chevy and firestone auto complete and no one knows why this is happening.
My check engine light had come on I got it checked at my mechanic but can't seem to figure out the problem. When you first start the ignition it feels like the car is bobbing back and fourth. Also after the auto stop goes on and you take your foot off the brake and put it on the gas pedal the car stutters. I also had a problem when I was coming out of my driveway it stalled and lost all power steering I had to turn the car off and back on again.
I have had nothing but issues with the car since I've had it and fixed everything that was wrong with it the the palm Chevrolet dealership that said was wrong with it and yet nothing has been resolved my stabilitrak control service system light came on along with the check engine light as they are flashing. I'm having a very hard time getting traction I have a 1 year old daughter and I don't feel that this car is safe for her. I want this issue looked into I have spent money that I don't have to just try to resolve the problem and yet it's not fixed.
My 20 yr old daughter bought this car in may 2020. She had it 1 week and ended up broken down on the side of the road the interstate, 3-1/2 hrs away at school because the catalytic converter went out. 2 weeks and a new catalytic converter, I am on the side of the road because she couldn't stay and wait for it, and we wouldn't let her take it until we knew it was right. Another 4 weeks later, replaced the motor and catalytic converter again, and the check engine light comes back on within 2 weeks and leaves me stranded on the highway once again! this time the reading showed only an O2 sensor so my husband changed it. The car ran fine for a while, then the check engine light came back on. Not long after this, the stabilitrak warning light also came on and so there are 13 error codes coming up! we have always been a Chevrolet family, but not anymore! this has ruined us! and when/if we can get it running well enough to get rid of it, it is gone! the error codes attached are from July & September 2020. I didn't get a picture the last couple of times that my husband checked it. General motors there are hundreds of complaints. And that's just the ones who actually take the time to hunt the NHTSA down and file a complaint. Not everyone will do so! I personally know of at least one other person in my hometown (of less than 20,000) that owns a 2013 Cruze that is having the exact same problems! I know we are just little people to you. But these are our lives! if we could afford to drive a high-priced, top-of-the-line vehicle, trust me, we would!.
Car while driving suddenly sputters and stalls. I get an error message saying to check airbags. The locks on the doors will unlock and lock and unlock an lock multiple times while driving. Check engine light comes on. When I pump gas the car wont start immediately it sputters and clicks every time.
I had my stabilitrak and traction control lights and my check engine light come on my vehicle while driving down a normal city road in sunlight on a clear warm day and my vehicle started idling very roughly while driving and I was right by autozone so they ran codes and found out it said knock sensor and misfire. Well I drove it home 5 mins down the street and park it. Well I take it to my mechanic the following morning and he does a diagnostic and piston check and turns out my spark plug burned so bad it was burned away where the l hook is. And found out that it broke in my combustion chamber somewhere . Now I have to get this all fixed and its costing a few thousand dollars.
While driving at freeway speeds(70 mph) the car suddenly downshifted and revved the engine very high(6,000 rpm). The car lost speed and would not downshift. Punched the gas and engine returned to normal. Check engine light came on shortly thereafter. Took to dealer and they state turbocharger is bad. The car only has 62,000 miles on it.
Bought a used 2015 chevy Cruze ltz, carfax checked out except for when the vehicle was a year old it failed emissions testing 5/2019 (no detailed information of the work done, assuming work done) but it shows as passing ever since until December 2019. Check engine light came on 12/20\19 coming to a stop or right as car was parked, code p0420 on 12/24/19 failed emissions, catalytic converter replaced 12/26/19, car picked up 12/28/19 check engine light on again same day after filling up with gas, starting car but was stationary, car returned to dealer dtc of p0420 again, 12/31 universal flex, clamp/weld done. Car picked up 1/2/2020, check engine light came on coming to a stop at a red light. Car returned to dealer 1/20/2020. Told possibly faulty aftermarket catalytic converters used, ordering catalytic converter from gm. Waiting for that to take place.
While driving and in motion the vehicle shuts off. After shutting off the abs malfunctions and the steering malfunctions. This has happened twice now, both on city streets. Once disabled the vehicle will not restart on it's own; it doesn't even turn over. The vehicle will, however, restart if jump started. The first occurrence presented with a check engine light that coded as a faulty cam shaft sensor. This was replaced and the check engine light went away. The second occurrence presented with no lights or warnings. Both the battery and alternator were tested and are functioning.
I was driving home from new mexico on the interstate and my check engine light randomly came on. When I finally made it home I took it to a chevy dealership and said I had a turbo leak. They didn't give me any specifics.
Throttle position sensor. Check engine light came on car started blogging down dropping rpms while driving, as I came to a complete stop the car would drop rpms and then go above then normal idle rpms but seemed to want to go while my foot was on the break. . When the car is off the code is reading the throttle position at 16. 5% when it should be at zero! when the car is on the throttle position reads at 40% not 100%. It is a huge concern considering the throttle can get stuck at any point and their goes my life as well as my 2 year olds life.
When trying to accelerate quickly the vehicle feels like it's going to die out then the check engine light will come on, but after about 25-30miles it turns off. Mainly occurred when accelerating into the free way with an incline or uneven roadway.
Nox position 1 sensor went bad. It was recalled on other chevy Cruze diesel vins but mine was not recalled and it went bad I took it to the dealer for a check engine light and they told me it was a nox sensor but that it was not recalled on my VIN so it was not covered.
I purchased a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze with an auto stop feature. The vehicle was purchased as a used vehicle in August of 2019. At the time of purchase, it had 70,000 miles on it. Less than two month into having the vehicle, the car started shutting off each time I came to a complete stop. The only way to get the car moving again was by placing it in park and restarting the vehicle. This issue occurs in all settings including city streets and highways. I have to be in traffic in order for the issue to present itself on the highway. The issue presents itself on the street anytime I stop at a light, stop sign, or yield to oncoming traffic. It has done this hundreds of times to date. I took the car to a Chevrolet dealership in October of 2019 shortly after the issue began. A representative explained that this happened because the auto-stop component wasn't able to receive enough power to stay on. I had the component replaced out of pocket, since my warranty didn't cover. The same day I drove the vehicle home, the issue persisted. Since then, I have also had the battery replaced. As of November 2020, the car is still experiencing the same issues, coupled with a check engine light that comes on and goes off each time restart the vehicle. The technicians have not been able to properly diagnose this vehicle's issue after multiple visits. Much of my time and money has been wasted trying to fix a vehicle with no active recalls. This is also the second time I am filing a complaint with the NHTSA.
While attempting to start my vehicle it will not turn over. Then the check engine light flashes on and off. The display then reads service theft deterrent system. Service tire monitoring and will then completely lock up. This has happened to me roughly 4 times in the last few months. The only way to get the car to start is with a jump. The battery, starter and alternator are all good and are not causing the issue.
The last few days I have been getting messages on my dash with errors such as service traction control/service stabilitrak. Took my car to the dealership for a diagnosis check and was told nothing showed up. However, this morning while on my commute to work, I was driving on the highway when all of a sudden my car decelerated and I got the message engine power has been reduced/service traction control/service stabilitrak and my check engine light came on. Because of this, I was forced to pull onto the shoulder of the road while almost being hit by other vehicles. This was extremely dangerous and scary for me because I have no idea what happened and it could have cost me my life, as well as others.
Turbo had to be replaced at approximately 50k miles. The malfunction nearly caused a serious accident on the freeway, and was not drivable until fixed. Now, at 73k miles, the vehicle slowed down after stuttering on the freeway while my 18 year old daughter was driving it home last night. Check engine light is on, and it is not driveable again. This is how it acted the first time the turbo went out. Recently I have worried about turning left when cars are even somewhat close, as it loses power.
I purchased a used vehicle from atlanta luxury motors at kia south on August 11, 2019. I purchased this vehicle as-is, but no mechanic claims to have found any issues at the time of inspection. The vehicle is a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze and only had 70,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. About two weeks after purchase, the engine cut off after the auto-stop initiated and the check engine light came on. I had to restart the vehicle in order to get out of the road. Since then, the number of times the engine has cut off has increased immensely. As of October 29, 2019, my engine cuts off anytime the car falls into auto-stop. Today it happened eight times during one forty-five minute commute.
When starting the car, a previously used 2015 chevy Cruze lt, the check engine light came on and the messages service traction control and service stabilitrak appeared. When driving, there was a noticeable reduction in acceleration power.
I just bought my Cruze and the check engine light was on due to needing a mass air flow sensor. The engine was hesitating on pulling out from red lights and stop signs, and going down the highway when you accelerate to a faster speed. So I had the sensor replaced and it did not resolve the issue, but the check engine light went out.
My 2014 Cruze has a turbo in it to make it "eco" - I. E. , rely on turbo for boost when more power is needed rather than using more gas. My Cruze entered "limp mode" in July with 54,000 miles on it. The turbo failed to work while merging onto the freeway and check engine light came on. It was shifting into 4th gear with high rpm to keep freeway speed. When diag box was later plugged in, the code came back as "p0299" - turbo underboost. I attempted to replace the sensor (code came back) and solenoid (code back again) as they came up often in research when looking for a solution. Turbo worked fine for a month and then quit again with the same code and my car in limp mode again. I filed a complaint through gm and they managed to get the part that was backordered indefinitely due to factory workers being on strike. Apparently, gm cut their healthcare overnight. I'd strike too. The service printout I received after replacement stated that they could find nothing wrong with the turbo: "inspected for oil intrusion, none found wastegate solenoid connector missing retainer - does not affect function. Bypass valve opens and closes when commanded. No air induction restriction found. Recommend turbo for failed boost cotrol test" this sounds to me like a faulty part, and an expensive one at $1,501. 86, that I paid for but did not break. Not to mention the sensor and solenoid replaced prior. My car is "fixed", and runs, but this is still an issue with the vehicle in general, and the turbo should be recalled to prevent future danger for others. I also think it's bs that I've had to pay a month's rent for a part that shouldn't have failed at only 54,000 miles. I will not be keeping this car and paying another month's rent in a year. I will also not be doing business with any gm manufacturer.
