Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the side detection light did not work. The "side defect detection is off" light illuminated. The contact also stated that the brakes made squeaking noises. The vehicle was towed to the memorial highway Chevrolet inc. Dealer (814-467-4596, located at 1 chevy drive, windber, PA 15963) where it was diagnosed that the harness connected to the side detection light needed to be replaced. The technician also stated that the brake pads needed to the replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that the repair cost for the side detection light (only) would be discounted. The failures were not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 28,400. Fe.
