The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Impala. The contact had not experienced a failure prior to being repaired at the dealer (pete moore automotive, 103 and 106 new warrington rd pensacola, FL 32506 850-456-7000, ext 466) per NHTSA campaign numbers: 15v701000 (engine and engine cooling) and 15v201000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact was uncertain if the repair caused a failure when the parts were replaced. The contact felt that the oem parts may have failed and that the manufacturer needed to provide a solution to the dealer to repair the vehicle. The contact was unable to prevent an internal oil leak. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the rear gaskets were leaking. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was not available.

Took my car to the dealer in collierville,TN. For another widespread problem, that should have been a recall costing 1,000. 00, & was told of another problem with the intake gasket, that will be another $1,000. 00, I see many others have this same problem, but of course gm not calling it a recall. I have a 2003 Chevrolet Impala with approximately 149,000 miles on it. Sunrise Chevrolet in collierville,TN. Has been the prople dealing with me , and states, their computer programmed bcm is not a recall, nor the ignition chip that engages the key , is also not a gm problem but many of their customers. I suffered with my car not starting numerous times , and finally bit the bullet and paid high dollar to the dealership for gm's should be recall. I want someone to listen about everyone's complaint of the intake gasket leaking, and make gm do the right thing!.
