I have had major failure of all of the main function components of the steering and suspension. Multiple times I have replaced, the inner and outer tie rods, ll 4 wheelbearing assembly, sway bar links, control arms, cv axles. I have to replace brand new tires every 6,000 10,000 miles because the mechanical failures are wearing on the rubber so rapidly and al was and unevenly. I have never not had a n issue with this vehicle and have put more money in repairs then the payment, which are more than what I owe still on the remainder (financed). Also, the transmission is faliling rapidly. I have reported prior issues prior to this date. I cannot justify repairing, maintenance or emergency, a vehicle that is less than the value of the repair cost. Gm should be ashamed and punished for such crimes against consumers.

I have replaced bushings 3 times, struts front and back, shocks and sway bar pins 2 times. I drive city roads to work only 5 miles from my house. I only have 77,586 miles on my car and a lot of problems for that type of use. We have a 1998 chevy tahoe that we love. You should stand behind your bad products that you put out.

The technician diagnosed that the sway bar fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 137,000.
There appears to be many issues related to brakes and suspension for the chevy Impala. After only 10k miles, the brakes began to pulsate. The dealership resurfaced them. They were fine for a bit longer but then the issue reoccured. I am not sure if its a overheating issue or what but it has had other brake and suspension issues as well. There is under 30k miles on the car and it has already had: left front tensioner replaced, rear left sway bar removed/reinstalled, rotors refinish, and a whole new set of tires now. We have had many other gm vehicles over the years from both chevy and Buick. No other vehicle has given us as many issues in such a short period of ownership that this car has. It all appears to be related to the brakes and suspension. Based on online searches, we are not alone as many Impala owners have had similar brake related issues/complaints.
