I was riding on the highway doing 60mph when my car reduced speed to 34mph and the check engine light came on along with a stabilitrak warning blinking. I also had a bit of shake in my vehicle when it came on and slowed down.

While driving my car to work on Tuesday 11-12-2019 at 6 am in the morning, my battery light came on then, message displayed battery saver active,ac hot shut off, traction on and reduce power, everything came on in dashboard and about 10 minutes later the whole system shut down, and car will not start back up. Had to get someone to jump start in order to start car back up it will run a period of time and it happen again even after replacing a new battery, starter and alternator I also taken it to dealer ship to run diagnosing test as well and they charge me for service although they said they didn't find anything wrong with charging system at all . But this occur during the busy time off the day and a lot of traffic.

My check engine light came on while driving. I told my car to the mechanic and I was told my mass engine airflow needed to be replaced. Two days later the check engine light was on again. Return to the mechanic and was told my O2 sensors needed to be replaced. Replaced as recommended. I was driving down the highway and the light came on again along with a message that said reduce speed. At this point, my car slowed down by itself while I was going 60 miles per hour. I could not accelerate. Luckily there were no cars behind me. Reviewing the Chevrolet forums and Impala forums, this appears to be a known issue and gm is not doing anything about it. Reading some of the stories, I consider myself lucky. Airbag the passenger airbag light has come on and will not go off. I took it to the dealership, and they told me that if I am in an accident, the airbag will not deploy because the car isn't recognizing someone is in the seat. They said to me that gm issued a recall for this problem; however, my car was not included. I spoke with a gm representative who confirmed the recall. The gm representative said although the code is shown on the diagnostic performed at the certified dealer my VIN was not covered; however, they offered to cover half of my cost. He told me that if gm expanded the recall to include my VIN then I could send in my receipt for a refund.

On interstate driving approx. 60 mph suddenly check engine light came on, and reduce engine speed light on and car dropped drastically down to literally no power. Barely had time to get on shoulder without causing accident. Went to local mechanic and he said that the issue was the throttle peddle.
While driving on highway my car will reduce engine speed it will drop from 65mph to 20mph sometimes it shuts clear down . I have so far almost been in two collisions because of this.
Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. . The contact stated that when attempting to accelerate the vehicle did not respond, and then it jerks forward. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the failure since purchased ( 09/19/19 ). The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 197,000. Bp.
While driving on city streets and the highway, the stablitrax lights come on then service indicators displays: service stablitrax, front camera, and power steering. The car slows down significantly and the power steering then locks up until you dismiss all of the codes. Then you can hear a clicking that sounds like the car is trying to restart. It happens sporadically. I took it to a shop and he stated to check for recalls because there have been quite a few Impalas being brought in for the same reason. I contacted chevy and they stated that there are no known recalls for my make and model.
Stabilitrack has been messing up since I purchased this vehicle in October 2018. My car is scary to drive. Sometimes its not clear what gear I'm in. The car will not go over 5 miles per hour when the stabilitrack is messing up. The backup camera does not work when the stabilitrack light is on and sometimes it will not go in reverse. I have to wait and keep turning the car off then wait then try to start it. Stabilitrack needs a recall. I could not back out of my parking spot this morning because of the stabilitrack. It feels like the whole motor moved when I tried to reverse. There were no lights on the panel to know what gear I was in but it wad clear it skipped the reverse. When it finaly let me back up after turning the car on and off several times I could only eccelerate 3 miles per hour.
Reduced engine power, stabilitrac and traction control messages. While driving 2010 Impala . Comes on without warning car loses power down to 20 mph I was driving 55 mph on highway pulled over shut car off waited few minutes car restarted then not 5 minutes later did same thing only this time engine shut off was able to coast off road thank goodness called gm they told me it was out of warranty but was under special conditions . Take it to gm dealer so few days later got in it to take to dealer ,no lights on drove fine . Dealer told me to bring it back if and when warning lights came on again wow! read this same issue on forums gm should have a recall on this very dangerous issue . Called gm back after getting home they more less told me yes it should have been a recall but it isn't so have good day the cost is on you.
While driving home from work during rush hours my 2012 chevy Impala's dashboard lights up saying " service traction control, service stabilink, engine power reduced" terrified as I was in the middle lane trying to get over as my car began to go into limp mode. I almost got rear ended due to this problem. I was accelerating from being stopped.

Driving on highway @ 60 mph when engine dies with no warning. Dash shows following messages: "engine power reduced" "serivce traction control" "service stabilitrax" power steering and power brakes stop working. When car key is turned off and check engine codes are cleared, the car starts up fine and continues to run smoothly. Luckily I was able to safely stop the car (albeit on the middle of a major highway), turn it off, clear the codes, and start it back up to get out of the way. Same problem happened in January 2018. After this I took it to a chevy dealer. They said car was covered under "warranty" for this problem and they replaced the throttle body. One month later same problem keeps occurring. Car runs fine but these messages appear about once a month. Typically the engine stays on and is only limited in power. However, occasionally the car will die completely without warning, even on the highway. Had car brought to chevy dealer. They said they can not fix the problem unless it is currently occurring with the car. They recommended I take the car and bring it back to them when the problem happens again. However, I do not feel safe driving this car knowing the engine could just shut down at any moment and the chevy specialist themselves do not seem to even have a clue about what could be causing this.
Car randomly lunges forward while slowing to a stop. This does not occur every time I come to a stop. It is an unexpected event that happens from time to time while slowing for a stop sign, stop light or just to stop period that this car seems to lunge forward like I'm accelerating which I do then the gears adjust down but only when applying more pressure on breaking. There have been a few times since I have had this car where I almost ran into the back of the car in front of me due to this.

Sensors on the back bumper went bad due to moisture getting in, screwed up electrical system which is the brains of the vehicle. Chevy needs to recall this car, tons of owners are having this exact problem. My vehicle is currently in the repair shop and the sensors are not available due to the overwhelming number of customers that are having to purchase them. The repair shop cannot even be given an expectant date that the sensors and wiring heirness will be available. Recall theses cars chevy, they know this is a manufacture defect, this is a $1500 fix that the customer is left to pay. When they know tons of customers with this vehicle are having the very exact some issues. My vehicle was in motion when I experienced the issues.
While driving on roads and interstates, I frequently receive a dash notification "engine power reduced" and my service traction control and check engine light comes on. When this happens, my vehicle loses speed and cannot accelerate above 40mph - dangerous, especially on an interstate. The notification lights and symptoms occasionally go away after turning the engine off and on, only to come back later. I cannot find and answer to this problem.

Power steering box when checking fluid pop noise when taking off cap also changed serpentine belt still squealing stiff steering leak not detected at that time . #2 shifting from 1st to 2nd gear is very fast not normal.
Tl the contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the transmission gears failed to properly change over in drive to accelerate. As a result, the vehicle intermittently decelerated and jerked. There was no warning indicator illuminated. There was also a drastic reduction in engine power. The dealer had not been contacted. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the control pressure solenoid needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The vehicle was not able to be safely driven and was parked. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 129,000.

I purchased my vehicle on March 23 2019 . I have made several repairs to car but the problem persists . If I'm at a stop and I proceed to drive and make a left my car will make a grinding noise and the traction control light will flash it makes it dangerous to join traffic safely . I looked online and several people have the same exact issue with their vehicles . Service traction control. Service stabilitrak service brake assist will go on when I try to make a u turn . . Ive replaced left driver side wheel hub with abs sensor replaced tpms and had alignment done . I felt the tea admission is being affected by this issue . So I had it serviced as well . I feel chevy should do a recall immediately.

Intermittent traction light and abs light poor acceleration.
takata recall while driving on the highway, my vehicle will lose power, which cause the vehicle to shut down. On the dashboard, service airbag appears as well as the abs light and lock mode comes on. The vehicle key will not turn to off mode until a few seconds. Then once the vehicle allows the key to turn to off mode, u have to wait a few seconds then the car will start with no problem and the abs and lock signal on dashboard goes off. This has happened several times in one trip on the highway. This is not safe at all because the steering wheel also get stiff and the traction control comes on the dashboard as well. What can I do about this? should I take my vehicle in to the dealership? the last time this problem happened to me was March 14, 2019.
I was in motion on a 50 mph state road, when all of a sudden my dash started dinging and when I looked down it stated "service stabilitrac" , and "engine power reduced". My car suddenly went down to about 40 mph and would not go any faster. It appears chevy has had recalls for this issue, but not for my model year.
January 2019 was driving on a very congested interstate 95 at the posted speed limit of 65. A warning popped up on my dash board. Service stabil trak engine in reduced power. It was like I longer controlled my car. The speed suddenly dropped. I went from 65mph to maybe 30mph. It felt like my brakes were being applied . I became scared and almost started to panic. But because I was in the far right lane I was able to pull off the interstate. I sat there on the side of the interstate with my heart racing and my hands locked on the steering wheel so hard they cramped up. I turned off my car and removed the keys from the ignition. I thanked god I was alone in that car. I thanked god the car behind me was not tailgating me. I waited for about 5 minutes and then put the key back in the ignition and started the car up. The warning was gone but the service engine light remained on. I was scared to death to merge back onto the interstate so I put on my flashers and drove on the shoulder at 20-30mph until I got to the first exit. I made it home. I called a car repair company. They told me the sensor more than likely need to be reset. They suggested I take it to a chevy dealership service center. The next day I started my car up and all warning were gone so I did not take it to the service center. The car ran fine until today 52/20/2019. I just filled my tank up with gas. Turned it on put it in gear and drove 20feet when the same error came on . I had looked up this error on the internet. Seems lots of americans have almost been killed because a car maker has a mechanism built in to it vehicle that takes control of the speed to which the vehicle is traveling. People are spending a lot money to fix an issue that seems to not have a fix. Chevrolet is putting the lives and the lives of others on the roads in jeopardy with their stabil trak computer sensors. Your failing americans.
Blind spot detection system began to fail, indicated by the side mirror indicators remaining on even after the car was shut off. Dealer service center diagnostic test showed the battery was old. The problem progressed to the point where the instrument cluster would also fail - all instruments (speedometer, tachometer, etc. ) would go dead, virtually all warning lights (traction control, abs, air bag, etc. ) would go on, heating system (including blower) would go dead and turn signals and hazard light would be inoperative. All of this would happen while driving, whether in city traffic or at highway speeds. Although the main operation of the vehicle has not yet been affected, there is no way to signal other drivers of a problem (no hazard light or turn signals) in the event of a larger failure. Research of online customer forums shows that this problem is common with the latest generation (2014 and newer) Impala. The blind spot detection system is connected to the instrument cluster and this occurs randomly while driving.
As I was driving on the straight highway at about 70 mph I let off the accelerator due to a car ahead of me driving under speed limit as I put pressure on the pedal it sped up but felt a slight hesitation, I thought not much of it until I see a 18 wheeler coming up fast , I put a little more pressure on accelerator to by pass the slow car in the right lane as I did this I felt my gas pedal wobble to the side w 18 wheeler still behind me I tried to speed up and make it to safety because I knew something wasn't right , just as I get back in the right lane I felt the pedal give as if it just broke off . . . I kept driving to catch the next exit and to get off of the two lanes and get myself to safety but it wasn't catching speed I panticked pushed my energy lights on and kept pushing the pedal for it to go still not much help . . So I just held down the pedal ,( by this time it's almost on the floor board swinging left to right I finally get a break when an exit came up I took the exit prayed to god and looked at the pedal , to my shock it was hanging on by a few wires . . . Plz see to it that this gets checked that was the most scariest situation that has ever happened to me while driving thank god he was with me, I usually never complain but this I just couldn't pass up it is scary and could of been fatal . Plz take a look at this ty.
While I was driving, the car gave a notice of reduced engine power, then a few miles later, another notice came on service throttle disabling service. And the car shut off! with no warning, and no way to get to safety. If I wasn't in an area that had a shoulder I could get to quickly or if there was any traffic near me, I would be dead! this is incredibly unsafe and is going to get someone killed, if it hasnt already! that has to be some sort of flaw in the programing. If I would have been on the highway, which is where I normally am at that time of day, I would have had no time to react and get to a safe area before the car shut down on me. It also locked up the steering wheel and braking system so I had next to no power. It was incredibly scary. I am just glad that I was driving the car, instead of my elderly mother. She very well may have had a heart attack from the fear. In no way should a car just shut down mid-drive like that! I cant even begin to explain the amount of ways how badly that could go wrong, and this seems to be a common issue with chevy vehicles and the throttle body. Even if the throttle body is going bad, in no way should your car be programed to just shut off mid-drive, ever. I really hope that is a programing flaw and not intentional, because if that is intentional, you are truly trying to kill people. What is it going to take for chevy/gm to get the issue fixed? how many people getting killed in unnecessary accidents is it going to take? I pray that myself or my family isn't one of them! please chevy/gm, get this issue fixed already.
Car lost power and engine went out. Stability track in on.
My wheel started to cluck every time I drive, then my speed want go as it ahould.
Service stabilitrak - reduced engine power lights came on along with the engine light while driving on the highway causing the vehicle to not be able to accelerate to the appropriate speed.
Well my 2007 Chevrolet Impala want drive or move so I don't if it's the transmission bad or not I need answer please it's leaking fluid and oil as well.
Car gets service stabitrack, traction control and abs warning on dash. Replacing wheel hubs with sensors does not fix this issue. Sometimes the car will want to apply brakes while driving or reduce engine speed. I have been through many forums with people reporting the same issue on the same car and through multiple years of manufacturing. From the research I have done in the last few days it looks like hundreds of owners have reported this issue but Chevrolet is not doing anything to correct it. Not sure at this point if it is the wiring harness causing the problem or if this could be something with the computer that controls the stabitrack, abs and traction control. If cars are loosing power and or the brakes are being applied with out driver control this can lead to dangerous driving conditions for the car owner passengers and everyone else driving on the same road. With how many people are reporting this I do not see why the car owner should need to pay thousands of dollars to diagnose and maybe fix the issue. From what I have read some people have had to pay for multiple service events and the issue still not resolved.
Tl the contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Impala. While operating the vehicle, the traction control, service stabilitrak, and reduce power indicators illuminated. When the failure occurred, the vehicle suddenly decelerated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the accelerator pedal, but the failure continued. The local dealer (malcolm cunningham Chevrolet, 2031 gordon hwy, augusta, GA) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 139,000.
"talara recall" the heater does not go off untill the car is cut off. , the car trembles when driving it , it does not have speed and their is a knocking sound coming from the dashboard. All this began to happen after I left the tire kingdom service centers. I brought it back and the dealer tell me that their a recall on my car for that problem.
