The front battery kept getting drained then one day it just wouldn't crank opened up the generator thing and noticed that it had been fried now my car won't crank or nothing and I don't understand why my car ain't in part of the recall for the generator control module.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power while coming to a complete stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions. The dealer replaced the auxiliary battery and the timing intake bracket arm; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.
