Failure Date: 01/21/2015

I received a recall notice on the car that the eps motor controller may cause the vehicle to suddenly lose eps. My car is experiencing this. The recall is only good for cars less than 10 years old or less than 150,000 miles which ever comes first. My car is above the 150,000 miles because it was driven for several years long distances on the highway. So my steering is failing, but gm will not repair it under the recall and I can not afford this expensive repair. How is that fair?.

11 Steering Failed problem

Failure Date: 03/03/2010

I own a 2007 chevy Malibu I have been having steering failure. Research shows recall on later models for same issue but not 2007. The steering will completely fail without notice. I feel this is a very big safety concern and gm says no complaints of my problem. They will investigate but from all research I have done gm will not do anything for this obvious manufacturing defect. I guess when a death occurs they may do something then. Who knows I think they should be made to correct the problem. The steering has made a poping noise for a couple of years and now this. After steering fails there is a bell that dings 3 times and then it flashes on radio screen power steering.
