*takata recall* while driving on highway steering became difficult to handle car began to shake in a jerking motion felt like wheels were going to fall off. On top of that took car to dealer ship and they didn't handle issue until my second visit to see if it would be covered under warranty I had to pay 100$ and find out my stability service light, and light and traction control light are on due to a rear bearing hub being broke and the sensor not being able to detect speed causing my rpm to be as the technician called it drive erratic and transmission is not shifting until 4-6,000 rpms. Also needs a fuel injection, and they mention a front turn signal being out which I never had any indication or knowledge of my headlights not working properly. Also, began talking to Chevrolet as I was on their sight and seen recalls which I hadn't been notified and wonder if some issues that are occurring are from previous recalls that were believed to have not affected me? is that possible? I am a full time student, in debt with loans and car payments as I don't get any support from family. The steering issue occurred very badly and suddenly on 3/13/2017. Stabilitrac service warning light abs and traction lights have been on since February 15 went to dealership on 20th they said they would look when I mentioned it, the issue wasn't looked at or even noted just may need 2 front tires. Currently at 75,259 miles I got the car in 2015 with about 45,000 miles. Do have documents from the two visits to the dealership and one visit from another mechanic. Also didn't realize a recall or issue has occured with a solenoid as my engine light went on and after taking it to a mechanic shop versus the dealership I paid 400$ and found out that was recalled at one point prior to me owning the vehicle.

I purchased this vehicle very used at 143xxx miles, from a "reputable" dealer. I got a tune up as well as an oil change, standard used car purchase procedure. My dad initially brought to my attention that while driving my fuel gauge dropped down to e, the low gas light lit up and the check engine light came on. A local auto parts store said I should use a fuel injection kit for the check engine light. Now I have 146xxx miles and it happens every single time I get gas. It's nerve racking because I do drive frequently and my main concern is how much gas do I have? I came across a guy that works at a different auto store and he said it's probably my sender unit for my gas tank, which should cost about $300 to fix depending on where I take it. My next set of issues is my horn, I was unaware that it didn't work upon purchasing until I went to honk it and nothing happened. I took it to midas and they replaced the fuse. After driving it home the horn stopped working again. I heard it's just some wires touching but nobody does electrical work. Today, a friend asked if my turn signals were working. I said they did and he said they were burnt up, plastic and all. I looked and sure enough they were melted and the light itself was black on the inside and it looked like it's on the verge of shattering. He asked if there were recalls on anything with this car, I told him I called a local chevy dealer and the guy insisted otherwise. Now, I checked this website and both the gas and lights are on a list of recalls. Apparently, not all dealers know half the information they should for concerned drivers.

I purchased the 2010 Malibu, used from the dealership- they were the owners previously. I purchased it in oct. 2011 and have taken it to the dealership 8 times in the 9 months of owning it. One time the entire driver side floor had 1+ inches of standing water in it, after a rain. The esc light continued to come on and off- they couldn't locate any issue- the first 2 times I took it in for that. The oil life sensor never went off for service- I was at 10,000 miles since the last oil change. I took it to my real mechanic to have fixed. The battery went totally dead in it one day- they said it had bad cells in it. And it would also stall, and when going about 40 mph not accelerate, on inclines. That's when the esc light would kick on, sometimes, and the rpm's would go up and down, all over the place. Finally made the dealership keep it until they figured out something- they kept it a few days, and called me numerous times asking me unrelated questions- they thought I was nuts, because they couldn't reproduce the issue. Finally- they told me a wire in the fuel injection had come loose. My car was so called 'certified' by the dealership- but I don't think they did any of the tests, or else they would have found some of these things themselves.
