Vehicle has been giving problems since I purchased from the dealer, well about 60days into my purchase. Real problem is that it jerks constantly at times it doesn't move due to according to my own diagnostics the transmission converter torque solenoid and this should be happening. It happens every time I'm on the hey it takes too long to accelerate and many times not accelerating at all. It causes my gas to decrease. The other day I was 30min from my residence and it took 5 hours, literally for me to get home. Computer system started blinking consistently. Engine light stays on. Winsdahield wooer lifts stays on. Tc lights stays on. Everything about this car within 60 days stays on. This is horrible.

My check engine light came on, I took it to the shop and replaced a solenoid, problem is still there. Now my car dies on me and when I push on the gas it hesitates. My car has under 75000 miles on it. I've already replaced both wheel bearings. My a/c doesn't want to come on at times. My radio will come on with no key in the ignition,.

My bcm I has terrible wiring connection and the way I bought it someone ran a new wire to the third coil because the bad connect is causing the check engine light to turn on and is shorting out all my emissions parts such as maf sensor, o2s, evap purge solenoid and my car is running like crap and a mechanic said he has had this happen before on the same vechile as mine.

Car is currently parked at a mechanic because I'm afraid to drive it. It began with the rpms going to 3000-4000 when barely pressing gas pedal. The car stalled after putting it in reverse nearly causing me to get hit, the engine light came on so we took it directly to our mechanic. The code for a bad cam solenoid was listed, and that was replaced. Drove it for about a week, still noticing issues with rpms, and when braking, the rpms would increase. Just had to drop it back off at mechanic because while going 30mph, the car when to 4000 rpms and the engine overspeed light came on the dash, and the car was losing power. After I turned the car off, and restarted, the rpms would not go beyond 2000, and the fuel hand went to a full tank? this is completely ridiculous for a car with 70,000 miles, and gm should be held accountable. Thankfully I've not been involved in a car accident yet, but I'm fearful if I continue to drive this car, I'll not be able to say that!.

Camshaft actuator solenoid was replaced under special warranty. Check engine light came on again after this was replaced. Was told it was now the intake solenoid. This also should have been covered under the same warranty. Was told it would cost 258. 00 to replace.
Tl the contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. While driving 45 mph, the check engine indicator illuminated. Twenty minutes later, the traction control and service esc warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that a message appeared on the dashboard indicating "engine power reduced" and the speed decreased to 20 mph. The vehicle was taken to moran Chevrolet clinton twp (35500 gratiot Ave, charter twp of clinton, mi 48035, (586) 307-5902) where it was diagnosed that the faulty solenoid valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 82,937.

Keep stuck in ignition. No power. Had p0010 code. Changed the intake camshaft position solenoid.
I was driving on the i89 north in concord, nh when the car suddenly stopped accelerating and the rpms went really high. I heard a spinning noise - like something was spinning at a high rate of speed. Pressing the gas peddle didn't increase the cars speed. Then I shifted to the manual mode and tried to use the gear shifting paddles to shift. I was able to get it to a gear to get me to the next exit even though it kept shifting in and out of gear while I proceeded slowly off the highway. The check engine light came on steady. At highway speeds this was a very dangerous situation that put myself and everyone around me at risk of a major accident. Once I was off the highway and safe, I plugged in my diagnostics tool I carry in my car (I took a auto repair class a few years back). The diagnosis codes the cars computer provided are p0776 and p0700 - indicating a major malfunction of the transmission and a solenoid problem. I took a photo of the codes. I found out today that there is an extended warranty for the same issue on the 2009 chevy Malibu's. The extended the warranty from 5/100k to 10/120k. Clearly gm should do the same for the 2010 models as well. It's the same 6 speed transmission.

While driving my Chevrolet 2013 Malibu ltz my stabiltrack light and service power steering pump light came on my dash immediately afterwards when driving at low speeds any where from zero to thirty miles per hour the car will randomly lose engine power and will stall but the electrical system will stay on but the head lights go out and the power steering will go out making the vehicle hard to turn. The car dies just about every time I am either accelerating from 0 mph to any low speed unless I slam on the gas pedal. In bumper to bumper traffic im restarting my Malibu every 3 seconds after it dies. It's is so dangerous if I have to turn and their is oncoming traffic cause the car could just die in the middle of the turn and be smashed by oncoming traffic. This happens on the street on the highway anywhere im driving . Car was taken to dealership where they held it for 2 weeks and said it was a oil pump solenoid valve being stuck. As soon as I drove off the lot I didnt even get around the corner and the car died at a low speed and the stability light came on along with the power steeri my pump and check engine light. Vehicle has to been taken in several times for cam shaft position sensor failure also. Car failures have been common since the date I purchased this vehicle.
VIN: 1g1ne52j73m672590 I received a recall notice involving "possible unintended key rotation" and on may 11, 2017 I took the vehicle to a chevy dealer in sanford, FL. Both of the keys were fitted with a "plug" and two rings were added,. On my way home from the dealership, on I-4 at almost 70 mph, I had to brake when debris began flying up ahead. The battery and oil lights came on and I felt the car lose power and the steering began to lock. The other cars braked & I coasted to the emergency lane. I put the car in park and started it up again. Approximately 4 miles later, as I exited the ramp in deltona, the car did exactly the same thing. I called the dealership from the side of the road and asked why the car had never done this until the recall for the key issue had been completed and I was told to come back and they would do a diagnostic. I drove to a local mechanic & based on the symptoms determined it was the iginition switch and they also purged the solenoid, costing $366. Today, may 23, 2017, I was traveling on I-4 at about 65mph when it became necessary to brake. The stretch of road is rough, and while braking I saw the two lights come on and felt the engine shut off. I was in the passing lane with easy access to the emergency lane, and once again the car started up and I continued on my way and back home. I drove in the right lane the remainder of the trip down and back so I could bail out if needed. On the day of the original repair, after the car shut down twice on the way home, I checked the government recall page to see if there were other recall issues and I learned that the fob is not recommended to be attached to the key. I removed the fob from the key and attached it to a lanyard, but apparently that does not help the problem. The dealership returned both "corrected" keys to me on the fob, with a second ring on each.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that the electrical system intermittently stopped functioning, which resulted in a loss of power steering, abs functionality, and the windshield wipers operated independently. The failure occurred without warning. The failure occurred approximately eight times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the solenoids needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but not repaired due to the manufacturer's denial of the claim. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
Had to get a repair on the exhaust vvt solenoid for the exhaust side of the engine. Codes: p0013 & p0014.
The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. While parked, the exterior and interior front driver doors and the passenger and rear doors failed to open. The contact stated that the front driver side door had to be left open to enter or exit the vehicle. The failure recurred constantly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the solenoid in all doors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 63,000.
Cannot pass inspection! short circuit fault - camshaft position actuator solenoid fault. Open or short circuit detection condition in the solenoid. This is a known issue and defect with chevy Malibu and other models and my VIN has not had one recall issued on it - though there have been several recalls already on other Malibu 2011 models. Need to have dateline nbc or an attorney investigate VIN fraud for not having my VIN # assigned these recalls for which the manufacturer would pay for all repairs related to these known safety defects.

2008 Chevrolet Malibu. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle sudden acceleration issues. The consumer stated as she attempted to accelerate, the vehicle did not move for several seconds. The engine kept revving and making a loud sound. The odometer went from 60 mph to 0 and the tachometer vacillated from two to five. Suddenly, the vehicle accelerated. Then the engine began revving again and the situation repeated itself. The vehicle was unable to maintain a steady speed and when it slowed down again, the consumer was nearly rear-ended. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test, which revealed the pressure control solenoid internally shorted out.
Driving 65 mph on interstate and service esc and all other lights came on and engine died. I had to maneuver 3 lanes to the right in rush hour to get to the breakdown lane without power steering. "faulty alternator" ruled to be at fault. No warning that morning prior to event. Two days before the battery light stayed on a little longer (5 minutes) than usual and then went off. It never came on again to warn of something wrong. I called Chevrolet and the customer service was indifferent so I filed a complaint with my state's bbb as this is the third, and most severe issue, I have had with this car and I have not had it two years quite yet. I did receive a call back from gm. They are working on their response to this life threatening event as well as the other problems, which were the exhaust solenoid died ( service engine light came on) and the driver's side door handle covering came off exposing the sharp metal it is made of).
Rear doors will not lock when put in gear or at highway speeds or unlock when put in park. Only will lock or unlock manually. The dealer told me that there is no recall on this problem. The rear lock solenoids go bad. And that they have been selling and installing a lot of them. The solenoids are part of the rear door latch. I paid for two new solenoids and installed them . Problem fixed. The parts number has been updated four times? I feel gm should have repaired this at no charge. Why is this not a safty problem ?.
I've owned the car for 18 months. November 2012, I reported to my gm dealer of loss of power when driving. Car's resistant to acceleration attempts, loses power at varying speeds from 30 mph and up. Vehicle brought in, dealer stated there were no problems. December 2012, while driving at approximately 30mph, car engine stopped running, car came to stop on active train tracks with children in car, no power steering, not able to shift into drive, neutral or reverse, park. Once ignition was turned off, vehicle would not start. Towed vehicle in for service, was told transmission needed to be replaced due to a bad solenoid. Vehicle still having problems two months after. January 2013 brought vehicle in for same issue, losing power, no acceleration, rpm's would rev and then rapidly drop while driving without foot on gas pedal. Was told by dealer nothing is wrong with car. February 2013, change oil light was one for three months, even after having oil changed. Brought to dealer to have reset. May 2013, vehicle still losing power, rpm's revving and rapidly dropping, dash lights randomly dimming without touching dimmer knob, driver's door will not open from inside and will not lock/unlock despite multiple methods, once open door will not latch to close and door bounces open again, auto start lags at time and randomly doesn't work. I have an appointment to bring vehicle in for service next Monday, not optimistic as the dealer keeps telling me there's nothing wrong with the car and they are unable to replicate, they state they are not aware of any other known issues on this vehicle, despite there being many many TSB's online for the same issues I've been experiencing. I haven't owned the car for even two years, traded in a beautiful new camaro for it to transport my children in a safe car, yet this vehicle has been nothing but problems and headaches.
I have been complaining about these problems for years to my dealership and haven't received the proper help to get these problems taken care of. I have been having problems dealing with sudden loss of electric power steering. My car steering wheel will lock up as soon as I turn the car on or even in the middle of driving on the highway. This is a hazard and life threatening. I brought my car to the dealership, but they informed me that my car did not have a power steering problem. But my car was notifying me on the screen that it was my power steering and the wheel locks up as well as continues to shake. It is still currently happening and getting worse. My steering shaft makes a lot of noise and I can feel it in the steering wheel when I drive. My break lights as well as head light bulbs are always going out and keep having to buy new ones. I know they will g out sometimes, but how often mines goes out is not normal. The airbag icon on my dashboard as well as the reading on my screen shows that something is wrong with my airbag. I'm afraid that one day it will just explode in my face. I also have electrical problems with my windows and lights in my car. The windows get stuck and only one light in my car works (one of the overhead lights). I had my transmission checked out and they informed me there was no problem (but they told me that about me power steering) and I end up paying to get my solenoids replaced, but I was not reimbursed when I brought it in for the transmission recall. Like I've said, I have been trying to get assistance from the Chevrolet dealership for years with these problems, but they keep telling me I don't have any problems. I really feel my life is in danger with all the problems I am having with this car and I do not feel I am getting the necessary help I need. Can someone just please assist me and help get these problems taken care of.

2004 Chevrolet Malibu maxx. Consumer writes in regards to solenoid/lock failure and poor attitude of customer service agent. The consumer stated the hatch would not open, using the remote. The same part failed twice.
Ignition tends to stick and causes the solenoid to grind w/flywheel. I just received a copy of a service bulletin from g. M. Stating they are aware of a problem. However, at this time the engineers will continue to wok on a solution.
